Defending champs sign undrafted Crispin

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Joe Crispin, a Penn State guard who was not drafted, signed with the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday.

Terms were not released.

The 6-footer averaged 19.5 points and 3.3 assists last season as a senior. For his career, he averaged 15.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

He ranks second on the school's scoring list with 1,986 points and third in assists with 485.

This dude would be a PERFECT fit for the Lakers. He would do JUST what Penberthy did, just sit outside and drain threes when Shaq kicks it out to him.

That's right, but they think they need more players as insurrance for injuries. But don't they already have enough guards?

Well they keep people on the IR always, but who knows, maybe he won't even make the team.

I had fun last year watching Indiana murder Penn State while forcing Joe Crispin into shooting 3-15 (brother Jon went 1-7)... The defensive hurricane of Dane Fife and future Big Ten MVP Tom "Cov" Coverdale was just a little too much for the newest Laker stooge...
