Ex-Mav Griffin has knee surgery
11:46 PM CDT on Wednesday, September 10, 2003

Houston Rockets guard/forward Adrian Griffin is recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee that is not expected to keep him out of training camp.

Griffin, a four-year veteran who signed with the Rockets last month, hurt the knee during workouts in Dallas.

You beat me to it.

Wonder why they signed him before surgery was done...

It sounds minor since he won't miss training camp. Maybe Houston didn't see it as a risk? Or maybe he injured the knee after the signing? Or is this something he's had bothering him for a while?

I'd rather have Griffin with a knee problem and Tariq with a shoulder injury than TAW with a knee problem and Griffin with another shoulder injury. Actually, no matter how much I like Griffin, I'd prefer to just have a healthy TAW.
