Crazy. The rest of his line isn't impressive, but I can't believe he didn't have ANY fouls. Hell must be frozen over. i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif

Was it an eastern conference team? i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif That would make it a little less surprising.

No, it was Memphis. But I guess they might as well be an eastern team.

He had 6 rebounds. That's what most of us were hoping he'd average. Not to mention to cut down on the fouls.

He'll be so much more productive in Boston than he was here.

Does Raef have the flu or something? i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

Boston is 2-0.

Raef didn't start but was the 5th with most minutes.

Jiri, DNP again.

Raef LaFrentz 21 2-5 0-3 0-0 2 4 6 2 0 1 0 0 4 (no 3FGM, I think he is 0-4 now).

What apparently no one was ready for with the Celtics was the emergence (re-emergence?) of Vin Baker. That guy looked like his old self last night against the Griz, and if he continues to play that way the entire season (or only close to that level), than the Walker trade won't look bad at all...of course, the Celts are still saddled with Raef's contract.

I may be in the minority, but I thought it was a mistake to trade Raef. I love the return we got, but I thought he was ready for a big year.

I think he has a much better shot of having a big year in Boston than here though. The revolving door on Nellie's doghouse made it hard to maintain his confidence.

No argument here on that point, but I seriously believe he is going to bust out this season.

That would be maddening. But he'll have to move past Vin Baker and Mark Blount to do it.

Raef fouls out in 23 minutes and the Celtics lose.

I would have been fine with Raef fouling out with his line tonight. Of course, I would have wanted the win though.

17pts, 5rbs.

I would not ever want Raef shooting 13 times for the Mavs. 5 boards in 23 minutes is below average for a big man.

well, with the Celtics hammering NO on the glass, I have no problem with his rebounds tonight.

but, that's about his norm though...too few rebounds for the amount of minutes played.

I watched the game. He played well in spurts and he looked lost a little at times. I'll take the effort, but a victory is all that matters I suppose.

Of course Tony Delk had 7 rebounds in just 3 more minutes of PT. I wonder if Boston is hating having "just thrown him in". Raef has fantastic potential to be a very good rebounder, but rarely do you see the potential actualized.

Raef with no fouls! Thats impossible, but once he gets more minutes, there will be more fouls to come with him.

I know he's only played 3 games, but I am shocked i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif that Raef isn't putting up better numbers in Boston. I really thought he was going to be putting up 15 points, 7.5 boards and 1.5 blocks in thirty minutes.

The resurrection of Vin Baker has hurt him.
