With over a minute to play, Rashard Lewis is currently at 50 points..Hell, he's done it in just 25 field goal attempts and 13 free throw attempts

Impressive. But i'm still glad, especially now, that the Mavs didn't get Lewis. I'd rather have the combo of Walker and Jamison than just Lewis.

Good for Lewis though.

He still refuses to rebound, but he's turning into one hell of a scorer.

My boy Rashard Lewis, I knew this guy would go big someday. I dunno, maybe its the atmosphere there in Japan, but this guy said to himself "I am going to give it all", and he definitley did with 50 points against the Clippers! I look forward to seeing him in the future and possibly in the playoffs!

Nash13,

I bet we would be the defending champs right now had we gotten Lewis. All we needed was an athletic, slasher who could rebound and shoot the three to have beaten the Spurs last year. Of course we have that now, but it is a year too late. I would take Lewis over Jamison right now, becasue of his perimiter game, but you can't always second guess.

Many criticized the Mavs for going for Lewis as much as they did last year. This game has shown why the Mavs were so high on him. Any player who hang 50 (albeit against the Clippers) justifies that much effort to get.

I wonder what it would be like if we had him on Dallas right now. I bet no Jamison or Walker deal...

Hard to predict that. Because as one poster pointed out, maybe we would have gone further in the playoffs last year (maybe even winning it all) thus not justifying the trade for Antawn & Antoine this year. Too many variables to that question, but no doubt Lewis would be a great addition to any team (I know understatement, duh).
