I predit that this year Mavs will have no All-Stars on their team.

The Western Team should be:
Starters
PG Francis
SG Bryant
SF Garnett
PF Duncan
C O'neal

Reserves
SF Stojakovic
SF Marion
PF Randolph
PF Nowitzki
C Ming
PG Marbury
Kirilenko/Gasol/Payton/Lewis/Anthony/Walker/Finley/Sprewell........Couldn't pick that last spot, kinda hard.

413, you only have one back-up guard. What's with all the forwards?

Players that deserve to make the team are voted on, its an exhibition game for the fans.
Stojakovic can play SG, so can Marion
Name one of my forwards that dont deserve to make the team.
Payton can be thrown into that team, so can Spree.
If Finley plays like he has lately, I think the coaches could vote him in, but only if the Mavs start winning.

If we don't start playing better, you could very well be right. Currently only Walker has played anywhere near allstar level and he's marginal. If Dirk makes it, he will do so because of previous year's play, not this year's. Nash and Fin have not looked anything like allstars. Jamison can't get off the bench to average 30 minutes a game, so no change there. I love the Mavs, but right now our play more closely resembles a dog turd than not.

I beg to differ with Nash. Nash had some all-star showing already. He just took a step back overall and is a bit too inconsistent to deserve it thought, but I would not count him out of All-Star race already.

SJ there is still time for players to turn it up, but not much. If by some miracle we would beat LA tonight that certainly would go a long way as would the Mavs establishing a road winning streak greater than 1 this year.

Bullshiat. You want to say Dirk's having an off-year, fine, you're perrogative. However, to say he has been nowhere near an all-star is utter bs, and 19/8/3 plus over a steal and block are all-star caliber, fact!

The only forwards you can argue who deserve to be there over him (not counting the voted in KG and TD) are:

Randolph
Peja
AK47
Walker

Those are the only 4 you can really even argue, and don't say Marion or Shard, check the stats first. So 4 guy's who you can argue, that's it.

Dirk will probably get in but that's about it. Kinda odd since this is the most loaded the Mavs have ever been.

Walker should get in by Coaches vote if he continues to consistently play the way he's been playing....
