This is more of a series of moves to address a few of the Mavs needs, and my take upon them.

Dallas trades: PF Dirk Nowitzki (19.2 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 2.2 apg in 37.0 minutes)
Dallas receives: PG Damon Stoudamire (12.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 5.8 apg in 37.8 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -6.4 ppg, -5.0 rpg, and +3.6 apg.

Portland trades: PG Damon Stoudamire (12.8 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 5.8 apg in 37.8 minutes)
Portland receives: PF Dirk Nowitzki (19.2 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 2.2 apg in 25 games)
Change in team outlook: +6.4 ppg, +5.0 rpg, and -3.6 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Dirk is having an awful year and the Mavs need a point. As far as Portland is concerned this certainly make Wallace expendable plus Dirk/Randolph makes a pretty nice frontcourt combo

Dallas trades: SG Michael Finley (16.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.8 apg in 39.0 minutes)
Dallas receives: SG Grant Hill (16.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.8 apg in 39.0 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -16.9 ppg, -4.7 rpg, and -2.8 apg.

Change in team outlook: 0.0 ppg, 0.0 rpg, and 0.0 apg.

Orlando trades: SG Grant Hill (16.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.8 apg in 39.0 minutes)
Orlando receives: SG Michael Finley (16.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.8 apg in 25 games)
Change in team outlook: +16.9 ppg, +4.7 rpg, and +2.8 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

If healthy Grant Hill is a top 10 player in the league plus it lets the Mavs become a much better defensive team.

Dallas trades: PG Steve Nash (14.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 8.0 apg in 33.4 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Alonzo Mourning (8.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 0.7 apg in 17.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -6.4 ppg, -0.8 rpg, and -7.3 apg.

Change in team outlook: 0.0 ppg, 0.0 rpg, and 0.0 apg.

New Jersey trades: C Alonzo Mourning (8.0 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 0.7 apg in 17.9 minutes)
New Jersey receives: PG Steve Nash (14.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 8.0 apg in 29 games)
Change in team outlook: +6.4 ppg, +0.8 rpg, and +7.3 apg

The Mavs are lsing him to Toronto next year anyway so why not get that answer at Center. A Nash/Kidd backcourt is pretty nice. The Mets probably do this because of a minor injury to Mourning

Dallas trades: PF Antoine Walker (17.4 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 5.1 apg in 37.9 minutes)
Dallas receives: PF Tom Gugliotta (3.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.8 apg in 11.8 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -14.4 ppg, -7.8 rpg, and -4.3 apg.

Phoenix trades: PF Tom Gugliotta (3.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.8 apg in 11.8 minutes)
Phoenix receives: PF Antoine Walker (17.4 ppg, 9.8 rpg, 5.1 apg in 30 games)
Change in team outlook: +14.4 ppg, +7.8 rpg, and +4.3 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Sure Googs is having an off year(s), but he can porvide a great presence once he returns to form. Walker can't shoot.

Dallas trades: SF Antawn Jamison (15.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.1 apg in 29.6 minutes)
C Shawn Bradley (2.8 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 0.1 apg in 10.1 minutes)
SF Josh Howard (8.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.2 apg in 22.4 minutes)
SG Marquis Daniels (4.2 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 7.6 minutes)
Dallas receives: C Calvin Booth (5.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 0.6 apg in 19.8 minutes)
PG Fred Jones (3.4 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 1.8 apg in 16.1 minutes)
PF Austin Croshere (5.5 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 0.4 apg in 12.4 minutes)
PF Primoz Brezec (1.4 ppg, 0.7 rpg, 0.2 apg in 3.9 minutes)
SG Jamison Brewer (3.5 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 1.6 apg in 12.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -11.2 ppg, -4.7 rpg, and +1.6 apg.

Seattle trades: C Calvin Booth (5.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 0.6 apg in 19.8 minutes)
Seattle receives: C Shawn Bradley (2.8 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 0.1 apg in 20 games)
SF Josh Howard (8.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.2 apg in 26 games)
SG Marquis Daniels (4.2 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 18 games)
Change in team outlook: +9.4 ppg, +3.8 rpg, and +1.3 apg.

Indiana trades: PG Fred Jones (3.4 ppg, 1.2 rpg, 1.8 apg in 16.1 minutes)
PF Austin Croshere (5.5 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 0.4 apg in 12.4 minutes)
PF Primoz Brezec (1.4 ppg, 0.7 rpg, 0.2 apg in 3.9 minutes)
SG Jamison Brewer (3.5 ppg, 0.8 rpg, 1.6 apg in 12.9 minutes)
Indiana receives: SF Antawn Jamison (15.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 1.1 apg in 30 games)
Change in team outlook: +1.8 ppg, +0.9 rpg, and -2.9 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Sure it hurts to give up young talent, but you get rid of Bradley, and pick up Croshere (did anyone see what he did in the playoffs 3 years ago), and talk about picking up some young talent. Wow. Jones consistently shoots over 30% from the field. Brezec and Brewer, well I think their talent stands for themselves.

Mavs new lineup

PG: Stoudamire/Delk/Best/Jones
Sg:; Grant Hill (If healthy)/Brewer/Jones
SF: TAW/Stephanson
PF: Gugliota/Crochere/Najera/Brezec
C: Mourning (If healthy)/Booth/Fortson/Gugliota

Now it is certainly a change, but look at that frontcourt. Possibly the finest ever assembled. Plus if it doesn't work out you have a bunch of contracts which can easily be moved.

So do you do it?

Ok. What have you been smoking? Please give me some so I can complete my Steve Nash for Howard Eisley trade.

My God. These are the worst trade proposals I have ever read!

I think this thread is supposed to be a joke... right?

This thread is genius and accurately describes the futility of discussing trades.

Will it stop me? Probably not. i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

I think Portland might want more for Damon than Dirk! Maybe if you through in Delk and Najera as well as Dirk they might do the Trade, but I doubt it. i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif

Obviously its a joke, but its not like all the trades here are ridiculous, so I see no need for this joke honestly.

Stefansson is a point, or at most a 2 guard. No way I do these deals. Mavs end up too weak at reserve small forward.
