The Blazers are so frustrated with their season thus far that several are suggesting the team make trades, the Jan. 6 Portland Tribune reports.

"I hate to say this, but maybe this is a bad mix of players," guard Damon Stoudamire said. "Right now, man, this is frustrating. This is the most frustrated I've been in the NBA." Said reserve Ruben Patterson, angered by his lack of consistent playing time: "I just want to go out there and be Ruben Patterson," he says. "If I get 18 or 20 shots, I would average 20 points. I can score just like anybody else can." Forward/center Dale Davis said he intends to talk to coach Mo Cheeks about his role and might ask management to include him in a trade, the Tribune reported.

C'mon now, Charles Barkley. You know the Blazers don't have any chemistry right now... but neither do the Mavs. Plus the greatest criticism of Cuban is that he overpays ALL his players.

Of course, you're right about one thing... the only players in the NBA who smoke dope play in Portland i/expressions/rolleye.gif

Seriously, there are some very good players on that roster. If you're GM how do you fix the mess? If if you're GM of another team on the verge of the playoffs how do you capitalize on the friction in Portland?

> Sheed to NYC for KVH & Doleac?
> Anderson to Indy?
> Patterson to San Antonio?
> Davis to Denver / Seattle?
> Stoudamire to Miami?

There are TONS of options here!!

The problem with Portland is, they are a bunch of third-person talking, self-important, egomaniacal whiney babys.
And it all starts and ends with Sheed, they move him, the era of the jailblazers is over.

Ick, every time I look at that Finley contract, I think to myself..."sheesh that is gonna kill our cap flexibility". He's like our Allen Houston.

What's worse is, Finley is in decline and everyone knows it, so we can't move him.

i wonder if portland would bite on a dale davis/ mcinnis trade for jamison/delk

i would do the deal in a split second. although mcinnis may like to take too many shots.

a bunch of overpaid-weed smoking fools.
This describes over half the league. Most likely, this describes a few Mavs. The player's weed habits and salaries do not explain Portland's problems relative to the rest of the league.

Rod Nailed it.
