GREENBURGH, N.Y. - Don Chaney will be fired as New York Knicks coach
by team president Isiah Thomas, who will hire Mike Fratello as replacement, the New York Daily News reported Wednesday.

I wonder if Fratello will coach like he did at Cleveland (slow down game)
or Atlanta (uptempo)?

I'll miss Fratello as a commentator.

Just when you thought NYK-ball couldn't get uglier......

Isiah doesn't have the balls to take over this mess himself. He doesn't want to further expose his ineptness, and doesn't want the ugly losses that (that have already begun to mount) tied to his coaching record.

But Fratello? Laughable.

And I can't believe Fratello would: 1) consider working for Thomas; 2) take on this kind of back-of-the-parade gig. Can the NYK money be that good?

Let the shames begin.

Doesn't suprise me. Fratello's been desperate to get back into coaching for the past couple of years. Hopefully he learned his lesson after that Cleveland debacle.

Does Fratello have anything left in his bag?

Here's to looking forward to a lot of 65-58 Knick losses at the Garden.

Ouch. Not to say that Chaney is a phenomenal coach, but he isn't the problem with that team.

Hubie Brown was gone along time from coaching. And he has turned Memphis into a playoff contender. Why can't the Czar do the same thing. This is the easternc conference we are talking about. The Knicks while don't really have anything up front they do have a top five point guard.
