I didn't see the game, but how did the Nuggets lose to a Laker team that was without Shaq, Malone, and Kobe?

Nuggets have been tough and have won some impressive games, but this seems impossible.

Basically, the Lakers sustained the defense they were able to play against pathetic teams (Hawks and Cavs) from the previous few days. Offensively they executed the tri to perfection on many plays, mostly as a result of Slava becoming very aggressive offensively in terms of shooting and looking for cutters and Devean and Payton doing the same.

Slava's stats:

22 points on 75% shooting (9-12), 9 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal in 39 minutes of play. He also executed very well defensively, and was aggressive in that regard.

It goes without saying that the Nuggets didn't bring their A game, but they certainly didn't play horribly. The 2nd unit played the best defense I've ever seen them play.
