I find the wreath stating "Thanks Sucker" to be horribly offensive to our men and women in uniform.

Here is MSNBC's excuse

Why we pulled Monday's Ted Rall cartoon
Item did not meet MSNBC standards of fairness and tasteMSNBC.com pulled a cartoon by syndicated political cartoonist Ted Rall on Monday.

Rallís cartoon, distributed widely by United Press Syndicate to scores of newspapers and Web sites, concerned the late Pat Tillman, the NFL player who quit football to join the Army. Tillman was killed last month in Afghanistan.

The cartoon, like others on MSNBC.com, is published daily on the site via an automated syndication feed. Such feeds are rarely reviewed. However, MSNBC.com Editor in chief Dean Wright concluded Mondayís Rall item did not meet MSNBC.com standards of fairness and taste.

If Bush is re-elected, im sure there are more targets he will go after...It wouldnt surprise me a bit to see a draft in the not so distant future....sad

No, what's sad is that hundreds of thousands of soldiers volunteer to defend this nation out of their sense of patriotic duty and clowns like this Rall traitor think it's OK to ridicule them after they pay the ultimate sacrifice. Without soldiers willing to die for this country he wouldn't be able to take a piss without asking permission from his dictator, much less spout his insane anti-American filth.

Sometimes I wish that America DID have a draft so that every single one of these commies would be forced to confront the idea that liberty is something we all need to fight for. I'm sick of cowards like this schmuck who sit back in their easy chair and rip on those who choose to serve their country.

In Israel, everyone knows the price that must be paid for freedom. They all have served in the defense of their country. As a result, the Israelis love freedom more than most do in America. I fear that the democracy we enjoy here in America will soon rot and decay into something similar to the socialist repulblics of Western Europe if we do not instill some kind of appreciation for the freedoms that we have.

I hope Bush gets re-elected, and I hope we DO implement a draft. Moreover I hope that REEDS gets selected and has to serve.

What I don't understand is how people can pretend the war on Afghanistan was anything but necessary after 9/11. Sure, debate all you want about Iraq, but how could you not go into Afghanistan after the 3000 dead and rout out Taliban, Bin Laden and Al Qaeda? Tillman died in Afghanistan - how was that not a just war?

Here's what Mr. Rall had to say about his cartoon strip yesterday:

"[It] is a reaction to the extraordinary lionizing of Mr. Tillman as a national hero. Mr Tillman served an evil president and an evil cause... At best, [he] was foolish and misguided."

-Cartoonist and Author Ted Rall, May 3.

If Bush is evil, what does that make Osama Bin Laden?

In Mr. Rall's mind, I'm sure it's "HERO"

"Without soldiers willing to die for this country he wouldn't be able to take a piss without asking permission from his dictator, much less spout his insane anti-American filth."

I actually agree- to a degree...but the point is, many many of us dont think dying in IRAQ is fighting for the freedom of US Citizens... The war in IRAQ is NOT a fight for the freedom of Americans..I am still trying to figure out what the reason is, but its not for American Freedom
