Looks like Nash logged a DNP tonight. Anyone know why?

Here are the lines for:

Walker (23) 6-11, 1-3, 1-3, 14pts, 5rbs, 2as, 3tos, 3stls

Raef (17) 4-7, 0-1, 5-5, 13pts, 8rbs, 2tos 2stls, 2blks, 3pfs

the suns report (http://www.nba.com/suns/news/azcentral_041013.html)

Suns may be without Steve Nash, Leandro Barbosa, Jake Voskuhl and Paul Shirley, all slowed by groin pulls.

Jamison went 5-12 for 16pts, 3reb, 1ass in a high-scoring loss.

There's gotta be a joke in there somewhere.

I was thinking the same thing. But my response would have been a simple, "What the hell were they doing?"

... Former Mavericks guard Steve Nash is a father. Twin daughters Lola and Bella were born to Nash and Alejandra Amarilla at a Phoenix hospital early Thursday morning.

Damn nice stat line by Raef. He's got a really bad knee, but if he can rebound like that while staying healthy, he'll be a real force in the Eastern Conference. The man has all the tools, can block shots, run the court, hit the outside shot. Again, if he stays healthy, Boston fans are going to love him.

I watched it , Najera played the last part of the game (4th quarter) at the SF pos. he looked impresive similar to when he played in college.

He was a monster in the boards and was really good at the defense.

He looks way better at 3 than at 4.

I think playing the 4 will help Raef out a lot. It suits his game more than the center position.

Nash sat out his 2nd game with that groin pull.

Leandro Barbosa is going to turn Nash's groin pull into a Wally Pip.

During the preseason, Walker came in fourth in the league in 3 FGA, and hit just under 29% of them. Congrats to him.

Impressive. No ramp up time needed. He's already in mid season form.

I will only root for Walker twice a year. Tonight is one of those nights. Go Hawks!

Nash looking great for the Suns last night in their first loss of the year: 15pts, 7rebs, 17assists, ....and 50minutes...
I've heard reports that as Nash can't sleep at night because gold plated diamond encrusted pillow if filled with guilty tears of betrayal...this is only a rumor though

I watched alot of that game. He had OK stats, but he really didn't look that good at all. He definately didn't feel comfortable down the stretch and in overtime. His first turnover in the game was late in the fourth. He couldn't hit a shot in the fourth, and couldn't stem the tide of the Cavs coming back from 19 down to start the 4th. Then in overtime, he missed two free throws in a row. He was way to tired, and should have been rested way earlier when they had the big lead.

yet he had 17 assists...

I'm sure he'll need a cane for a couple days though i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

How about Raef's 15 rebounds tonight? Glad to see him having some success in Boston. Only 13 more days until I get to see him play again at the AAC. My dad is trying to work with his ticket rep for the Mavs on a deal for me to meet Raef either before or after the game. That would be a sweet Christmas present!

LaFrentz seems really comfortable at PF. With Mark Blount at C beside him able to defend the bigger post players, LaFrentz can just concentrate on his strengths, rebounding and shooting.

Oh no! Raef sprained his ankle last night and didn't play tonight. If he isn't ready to go by the 28th I will be so upset!

Raef was traded for Walker.

That should speak volumes on how I feel about Raef.

Also, Raef missing nearly all of last season didn't help me liking him.

But this year. Raef has probably been the Celtics most consistent and dare I say it, best player. Gary Payton is up there too, but Raef has been doing it night in and night out....when healthy.

It's too bad for his injury cause he was playing very well in the month of Decemeber. He's been doing things that justifys his 3rd selection draft spot.

I hope he returns soon, because we really need him. December is a brutal month for my C's.

Raef's line tonight against the grizz- 28pts / 8rbs / 1 ast / 1stl / 2 blks / 5pf / 10-15 shooting / 6-7 from the line. I guess that fall did more good than harm.
