These guys are bargain ballers

While some players are busy killing the cap, at the opposite end of the cap-chewing spectrum are the players who produce big-time numbers for relatively small paychecks:

1. Michael Redd, Bucks. Redd is one of the most efficient scorers in the league and will make just $3 million this season.

2. Jim Jackson, Rockets. Defense and leadership endeared him to coach Jeff Van Gundy, and he is getting only $2.5 million.

3. Chauncey Billups, Pistons. Before he was The Finals MVP, he got a midlevel deal from Detroit. He will make $5.5 million this season.

4. Donyell Marshall, Raptors. Marshall's wonderful season was lost in Toronto, which acquired him last December. After the deal, he averaged 16.2 points and 10.8 rebounds while shooting 40.3 percent on 3s. For all this, he gets just $5.5 million.

5. Sam Cassell, Timberwolves. Cassell loves to talk about unjustly underpaid he is. He has a point -- at $5.7 million, his talent is a great value.
