wow

They are taking it to the bucket EVERY time...Duncan is surrounded every time he catches the ball..

I liked the Spurs in 6 in this series..but damn, if the Nuggets play like this, watch out.

Spurs are definetly beatable. Duncan looks a step slow.

The Nuggets are mugging Duncan out there. Absolutely brutal. And Andre Miller is awesome.

OMG, Duncan misses two shots from 5 ft. with SA down 4 pts. I've never seen him miss a clutch shot in my entire life.
Denver up 7 with 22.8 sec to go.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Go Nugs! The Spurs have like only 1 FG in the last 9 minutes of the game!?!?! This is beautiful. Guess we're not going to be the only team to fall asleep in a game. Good job Denver. I am ecstatic. The look on Duncans face after missing those two point blank shots was priceless.

This would have been a great weekend had the Mavs not lost.

I feel it rather comforting that the Spurs lose against Denver i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

Duncan misses another shot with 15 sec to go...

Denver wins 93-87. Huge upset for the Nuggets.

this is HUGE...2 years ago, amare and stephon stole game 1 with two prayers that were answered, but SA still took the games in Phoenix

We've got the altitude factor in Denver...wow, this is going to be a GREAT series.

The Spurs, for as good as they are, have an absolutely uncanny ability to go for long stretches in the fourth quarters of playoff games without being able to score a lick.

Before watching the Spurs/Nuggets game, I rewatched a couple of quarters of our game to build a tivo buffer. Watching the games back to back, it's amazing how much more intense the Nuggets were on defense. They challenged everything on the perimeter and funneled the ball to Camby, Nene and K-Mart. Really impressive defensive performance in the 4th.

Teams like the Spurs, their defensive style of play will keep them in most games, it also usually lowers the amount of posessions and therefore keeps the opponents in the game as well.

Absolutely. For a stretch of 10+ mins in the 4th, the Spurs went 0-17. That's unbelievable. Looks like Duncan is hurting bad...

Ha. I heard that the Spurs missed 18 shots in a row.

I have said SEVERAL times on this forum that I expected the Spurs to be upset before the WCF. If the Nuggets don't get them, the Kings will. It's just the way the world works.

Now if only the Mavs can keep from being upset...

funny thing is the spurs fans were taking the mick of the mavs after we lost on saturday with the allas posts and saying how bad we are yet they also lose at home in game 1

the spurs always inevitably stink it up in the first game of a series. i expected this to be no different. that being said, i expect the spurs to win in 6.

and i dont think most of the other games will be decided by less than 8 points.

Darn it! The Spurs just showed how a champion comes back after a first game loss at home.

Hope we can come back in the same way tommorrow.

I predicted the Spurs in 6 games, so the fact that the Nuggets took game 1 was not a surprise. Neither was the blow out Spurs win in game 2. By my prediction, the Nuggets will win one more game before the Spurs close them out.
