I think someone should define the meaning of exhibition...
03-27-2002, 11:52 AM
are you a memeber of the team?
03-27-2002, 01:14 PM

we'll kick your ass in the regular season too!!

Hales- Oliver will tease you and then break your heart...like he does to every team he pitches for. And when he faces the Rangers it will be 20-0 in hte bottom of the first. You guys got hosed on the Everett-Oliver trade.
03-27-2002, 08:44 PM
doc...no we didn't get hosed...i am in the 1% of red sox fans who actually still likes everett, BUT there is no way in hell we could have kept him...for clubhouse chemistry, he had to go...
oliver is just our 5th starter and as soon as burkett gets healthy olly goes back to the pen...
03-27-2002, 09:03 PM
Oliver in the pen is worth at least three Ranger wins...LOL
03-27-2002, 11:02 PM
this is true...
for some reason i've always liked the guy, but i can't figure out why exactly
03-27-2002, 11:33 PM
Best I can tell...he must have signed a contract with the devil. He mesmerizes everyone. He can't pitch.

Trust me, this is not a sign of whats to come. We should be right in there with you (Boston) and Oakland fighting for that wild card seed just so we can lose to the Yankees in the first round.

Bomber- unfortunately...you may be right....*sigh*
