This is one of those games where you wish somehow they both would lose.

I never thought I would live to see the day where I was hoping the Blazers AND Sonics would win.

Blazers only down 2 at the half without Wallace, 51-49....very impressive.

Kobe and Shaq both have 18 but Bryant only scored 1 in the second quarter.

It would be so sweet for those two to meet in the opening round..then let the Lakers face the Kings. And THEN the Mavs i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif

Lakers up 4...c'mon Blazers.

Actually, shouldn't we be rooting for the Lakers?

Cause if the Mavs are unfortunate to land the 4th seed, wouldn't we want the 5th seed be anyone but the Blazers?

Anyway, after 3, Lakers up 3...71-68.

That's why we we're also rooting against the Spurs silly!

Good point,

but do we want LA in the 1st round? I don't know which would be worst, LA or Blazers in the 1st round. i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gifi/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gifi/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif

Lakers look like they really took control in the 4th quarter.

Looks like it Hoopmeister.

Hopefully, since the Lakers didn't help us tonight, they'll do so on Sunday when they play the Spurs.

With a Spurs loss and a win for us against the Wizards, we would be looking at a 2-game lead.

Scottie makes a great point about how bad NBA refs are:

Pippen claimed a foul called on him when he was guarding Bryant just 3:21 into the game set a bad tone.

``I thought it was a bad call,'' Pippen said. ``They always give an advantage to start the game. If he's that great of a player, don't put me back on my heels when I have to guard him the whole game. It changed the whole game.''

Hales- good point maybe, but since Pippen said it...it must be crap. That guy is a whiner if there ever was one. I can't stand Pippen.

whether you like scottie or not, what he says happens in every single laker game i see.
