Dallas is more likely to go to the finals, but PHX is more likely to win it all?

That's actually very healthy respect for Dallas. That's similar to what the Heat got last offseason. (When the Mavs were better than 20 to 1.) I'd say the Mavs have officially joined the ranks of the elite, at least in the betting public's eyes.

For what it's worth, I don't like the bet at 5-1. At least not on this day. If they don't make any more moves, then I don't think it's reasonable to believe that they would win the title once in every six times you ran the next season. In reality, once you get to the semi's in the West, you are probably looking at about a 1-in-8 proposition. There are just too many good teams at the top right now.

PHX have the same odds to win the WC Championship and the NBA Championship... must be a typo or something?!

Yeah, pretty decent respect for the Mavs.

Orlando at 35-1 to come out of the East looks good to me.

The rockets, cavs, and the clippers are the best bets in that list. Battier was a very solid pickup to go with a healthy tmac and ming. Lebron is lebron and i expect more from hughes as well as another move. The clippers are EXTREMELY talented and they are 40-1? I dont understand that. Also if you believe in the AI rumor the celtics at 35-1 to win the east is a very nice little bet. (it will change once they get Ai. As a matter of fact i think im gonna drop 3 $20 throw away bets on the rockets cavs and clips to win it all and maybe the clips to win the west at 20-1.

The cavs to win the east is also a great bet. They are the second best team on paper(imo) and they match up really well with the heat. And the wizards at 100-1 arent a terrible bet. Arenas is a top 10 player(maybe higher) and is capable of winning a series or 3 by himself. Not worthy of 20 but maybe a 10 dollar throw away as well as them to win the east at 35-1. The only ones i will actually bet are the rockets, Cavs both to win the east and the title, and the clips for the ring and the west with more than likely 20 dollar bets on each. If i come up with 10 bucks lieing around in between now and the season i might put 10 on the wiz to win the ring.
