Where have I been? Good lord this is a name from our past.

Sonics Sign Sesay

The Sonics today signed 6-9 forward Ansu Sesay to a 10-day contract, Sonics General Manager Rick Sund announced.

Sesay was named the National Basketball Developmental League’s 2001-02 Most Valuable Player on Wednesday after averaging 13.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 45 games with the Greenville Groove.

Originally drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the second round (30th pick overall) of the 1998 NBA Draft, Sesay was named Second Team All-America and Southeastern Conference Player of the Year by the Associated Press. As a senior at the University of Mississippi, Sesay averaged 18.6 points and 7.6 rebounds in 29 games. His 1,428 career points ranks eighth on the Ole Miss all-time scoring list.

The Sonics active roster now stands at 12.

An unexpected gift from the Sonics - I wonder what we should get them for X-Mas? This was a game I expected the Spurs to win.

The Mavs have been given a couple of chances to separate themselves from the Spurs now and MUST take this oportunity seriously.

MFF- great point. They must focus, stick with what has worked (like driving the ball), and not worry about the Spurs. Play the game of the day and they will succeed.
