since more teams are playing today...i tihnk of it as the real opening night....and since there is NBA LEAGUE PASS FREE PREVIEW WEEK...i got to watch all the games...everyone should get it if they have digital cable/dish network

thoughts?

-I am so happy that the rockets are getting killed. all is right with the world.
-technical fouls. ridiculous. each game's box score i see so many techs.
-rasheed wallace. ejected already? what do you tihnk the over/under is for him getting ejected from games this season? 15?
-chicago bulls. dont believe the hype. they still cant score. or is it orlando is that good?
-also ... no team really jumped out at me being that great. everyone loves cleveland...they're still VERY OVERRATED in my book.

haha why? i am rooting against them bc they're in our division

kyle lowry is playing well. so small..6ft...yet he has 5 offensive boards..9 total...well it is also due to the fact that NYK dotn box out. idiots.
and rudy gay and atkins are hitting BIG crunchtime shots

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

J/K...I loved DA...

Can Nellie beat the Lakers tonight?

haha why?

good question..

I think it was just because they were down in the fourth and came back. I always go for the underdog!

Also, it's been fun to watch the Knicks flop under Isiah's control. Don't want to see a good thing come to end.

Man these ESPN guys are licking all over Amares balls right now.

This Suns team isn't scoring like they were last night....

You can't root for a division rival dude....that's the 84th rule of Fight Club ;)

Memphis needs a point to send this thing into the 4th overtime. Now, I'm pulling for the tie!

A team that loses in triple overtime to the Knicks probably isn't too much of a threat.

A bunch of rookies are making their debuts tonight:

Shelden Williams: 0 pts, 3 reb
Adam Morrison: 14 pts, 3 red, 1 ast (not bad)
Rudy Gay: 21 pts, 8 red, 4 blk (really impressive--I'm glad Houston didn't keep him)
Randy Foye: 6 min, 0 pts
Andrea Bargnani: 2 pts, 2 reb, 2 blk
Rajon Rondo: 6 pts, 4 red, 3 ast
Ronnie Brewer: 9 pts, 2 reb, 2 stl

Blazers impressed me. (stranger you forgot Roy, he had the best opening night of the rookies imo)

-Good to see the Rockets lose.
-Orlando looked good, and I still think Chicago will be pretty good this year. I think the Magic could make the playofffs.
-Rudy Gay and Brandon Roy had nice debuts tonight.
-DA was surprisingly good in his 13 minutes (9 points on 3-4 from 3pt shooting, and 4 ast) while Quisy didn't impress me.
-What's up with Paul Pierce grabbing 19 boards? And Q-Rich scoring 31?
-The Knicks-Grizz game was crazy, good to see another one of our division rivals lose.
-I'm very happy that the Heat, Suns, Pistons, Rockets, and Grizzlies all lost.

A nice opening night to the 06-07 season. Bring on the Mavs!!

Yeah, that's what I think, but I was tapping the breaks a little. I wanted to be sure I wasn't like over reacting dude to the great game they played today.

what on earth happened to Steve Francis? 0pts, 4rbs, 5asts. Get it together. On a night that the Mavs don't play, i'm glad to see all but two of my fantasy players (Francis, G. Wallace) do well.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this, but Marquis Daniels' line was:

6pts, 3rebs-all offensive, 4assts, 3tos in 21 minutes

Not that good for his first time in a new uniform.

someone please clarify for me.........

Last year after you received 16 techs overall for the year you had to sit out 1 game
then after your 17th tech you sit out 2 games and so on.....

I think the only person who got caught up in this was sheed and someone else.

This will be very important late in the year, when the division races might be tight.

Players are fined $1,000 for each of their first five technicals,
an amount that increases by $500 for each five after that,
capped by a $2,500 penalty for each one starting with the 16th.

A one-game suspension also comes at that point and for every other technical thereafter.

i found the answer. to my previous question.

Orlando looks like they'll be pretty strong this season. Howard looks like he'll be unstoppable...he had a terriffic game against Ben Wallace. ``Dwight's going to be one of those guys in this league that are going to make it hard, make it tough for anyone who comes into this building to get a win,'' Bulls center Ben Wallace said of the third-year player.

The Pistons looked weak against the Bucks. I think they're going to miss Big Ben more than they know.
