I was just looking at some scores on line, and I saw that the Hornets-Bobcats game was 17-17, and Peja Stojakovic had all 17 points for New Orleans! I wonder how often a player scores his teams first 17 points. Right now they've got 30 total with 22 for Peja. He's 7-7 from the field, 4-4 from 3-point range, and 4-4 from the line.

Wow, that's pretty weird! It's about time he gets going offensively, he's on my fantasy team :D

It turns out he got there first 20 points, and he is the only reason they are still in the game.

Didnt Dirk score all 15 points in an OT for us a couple years back and like 23 straight?

paja went for 42 tonight...and basically won the game single handed.

Dirk scored 15 in a row the night he dropped 50 on Phoenix. The score was 89-88 Mavs and all of a sudden it was 104-93.

15-5 is 15 in a row? Come again?

Ummm... no one ever said the other team didn't score during that run. Peja scored 17 (actually 20) straight point for his own team, while Dirk scored 15 in a row for his team. In both cases, the other team scored, and in Peja's case they scored plenty.

The hell does "in a row" mean, champ?

Oh, you mean that he scored 15 Mavs points in a row? That's nice, I guess. But Aguirre scored 27 in a QUARTER. How many do you imagine he scored in a row?

Dirk with 13 of the 17 points in the 4th quarter (2 jumpers by Howard), and then the first 10 points for either team in the overtime on his way to 53pts, 16reb, 4 blocks, 3 steals, 2 assists

that was what I was thinking about, and i was wrong but there may be a case of Dirk scoring more straight.

I'd be interested to know. Was it a playoff game? I guess it doesn't matter. I just wanted to contribute because up to that point everyone was just making a bunch of maybes and I-doubt-its.

Oh yeah and Stackhouse on a 10-0 tear in Game 2 of the Finals. Nobody else on either team scored during that run, if that's what you really care about, Chum.

Dirk also had 11 straight points, and an assist in about 2 min against the Suns in last years opener as part of a 14-2 run to take it into overtime.

Armstrong shoots a desperation 3, with us down 10 points with less than 4 minutes remaining..horrible, listless game to watch. No one is paying attention, Im starting on my homework because most likely the game is decided...and then..

Nowitzki gets the offensive board and is fouled. Makes both FTs-- 8 point game
Jones misses for the Suns, and Dirk shrugs his shoulders and decides to have fun, drops a long three less than 30 seconds after his FTs.-- 5 point game.
Marion puts back a miss-- 7 point game.
Dirk drops another long 3 pointer 53 seconds later. Nash misses his midrange shot-- 4 point game
Darrell throws it to Dirk who drops his third three, Jackson misses his three-- 1 point game, 2 min remaining in play
Dirk fakes another three and passes it to a cutting Terry for a layup-- Mavs take the lead at 1:30 after being down 10 points at the 3:43 mark

That nice 42-point effort ROCKETED Peja's season average all the way up to like 14 points. Yippee. Does this mean he can go ahead and disappear for another two months now?
