off topic, but I can't help but notice how Pietrus is playing today. I always thought that kid was going to be a good one with his shooting ability, and I never really understood why he wasn't really doing anything for the last couple of years. Looks like Nellie is tapping into his potential this year. 26 pts (12/16), 4rbs, 2 asts... not bad.

B-diddy might mess around and get a triple double!

But I think I'm more impressed by this Biedrins cat. He may be 6'11", but he plays like he's 7'2".

Warriors are the PHX Suns of this year... a no-defense, run & gun and spread the floor team with 1 great PG and 5 guys who can shoot the 3!

Fun team to watch!

Interesting, so pietrus decided he wasn't going to just be a spot up shooter. Good for him.. That's going to give him a chance to be a very good player. Got to love the kid who modeled his game after Fin.

2 rebounds away from the triple double...........
and 2 turnovers after that from a quad.... Its amazing that you can have 8 turnovers and still have an OK assist to TO ration...

Chum, I love this Warriors team. I think Nellie is the perfect coach to get this team to play together and get the best out of each player. Not only am I high on Biedrins but I love Ellis and Diogu as well.

Jlee, Nelson gave Pietrus the chance to show him what he had in camp and earned that starting job. It's good to see him playing well.

And Baron Davis was a freak tonight. You know he's good but he was doing some crazy spins tonight. I'm really impressed with the leadership role he's displaying.

I'm really impressed with the leadership role he's displaying.Me, too. The guy certainly looks like an MVP candidate to me. Of course, that will be dependent on how his team does. But if they win 50, he gets consideration.

Strange that I have watched two games now and don't recall much of Diogu. Davis, J-Rich, Pietrus, and Biedrins are flat dominating out there. And this Ellis kid is on the radar, to be sure. What an exciting team to watch play! I may get League Pass!

Don't sleep on the Warriors. Don't forget that they have Foyle sitting on their bench, in they case they decide they need to muck it up, Eastern style.

if they muck it up they'll be one of the worst teams in the league. Dont fool yourself-- they are running team that has a very difficult time with turnovers and jacked up fadeaways when they play against a set defense. They also make up for a lot of crappy defense with above average transition offense-- they are just sharper running it.

...in the first quarter, when the game was decided.

Not sure if these words ever rang truer than in this particular game.

quarter by quarter scores went like this:

1 2 3 4 Final
40 25 27 25 117
28 25 27 25 105

This Ellis kid really looks like something special. He might be one of the best young playmakers in the game. Drafted out of high school and only in his second year. Impressive.
