View Full Version : Official I love all old mavs players, coaches more than current mavs thread.

Since we are effusing so much love for nelson, steve, mike, quesy and whomever owns the suns/warriors and any other owner I guess, we might as well have an official thread so that everyone who still pines for them can express their man-love for how much smarter, greater, handsomer they are than the current mavericks.

Please place all nellie, steve, finley love in this thread so we can keep the droppings from polluting all of the other forums.

Notes:@ Bickerstaff reminisced before the game about coaching Johnson when he was a rookie with Seattle in 1988. "It was like the basketball was attached to his hand," Bickerstaff said. "The cerebral part of his game was always there, and he always had life in perspective." ... Bobcats C Primoz Brezec, in his second game back after sitting out two weeks due to exhaustion, committed two fouls in one scoreless minute and didn't return. ... Spurs F Josh Howard missed his seventh straight game with a sprained left ankle, but Johnson said he should go through a full practice later this week.

What's going on here? :(

Bubba Wells: Nelson sicced him on Dennis Rodman during a game against CHI with the express purpose of making as many CHI possessions end with Rodman shooting free throws, which wasn't his strong point. Wells was to foul Rodman even away from the play. Wells ended up with a record 6 fouls in only 3 minutes lol. A noble endeavour.

I think the mav's miiiiiiiight be able to win with a team like this...

C Erick Dampiers , Desagana Diop, Shawn Bradley
PF Dirk, Antawn Jamison, Raef Lafrentz
SF Rolando Blackman, Josh Howard, Jamal Mashburn
SG Finley, Mark Aguirre, Jimmy Jackson
PG Nash, Jason Kidd, Nick Van Exel

Have on our IR list Bradley, Mash, and Jackson

lets see D-wade phantom foul his ass outta that team. you want two from the line ok 3 from nash, 3 from exel, 3 from jackson, 3 from dirk, 3 from lafrentz, 3 from fin, and to pick up D you have Kidd, Damp, Diop, Mash, Howard, Aguirre.

chumdawg
12-24-2006, 03:23 PM
Ro was a two, and Mark was a three. Switch those, and you've got something. But dear lord, can we plase bring Tarp off the bench behind Dirk. Even play him some minutes at center? And let's slide Donaldson in the rotation ahead of Diop.

For that matter, let's find some minutes for Sam Perkins. And Detlef Schrempf. And Jay Vincent. And Derek Harper.

Hmmm...this lineup-of-all-time this is going to be tough...
