Yes....that is right. TMac is in Waco. I was picking up some dinner from a nice local eatery and who walks in? TMac. Right here on Christmas eve. As they are preparing his table I summoned up the hutzpah to ask him how his back was doing and he said "troublesome". He looked kind of worried to be honest. A very personable older woman who was with him asked me who my favorite player was and after the courteous "although I enjoy TMac" I said Dirk. TMac smiles and says..."good pick". Then he sat down. Very nice exchange.

That's awesome, did you get him to sign something?

Didn't even think about asking him to be honest.
He didn't look gimp or anything. He was walking around fine to me.

Yet another celebrity sighting in Waco. Excellent work, Doc. Certainly not as prestigious as my Shawn Bradley sighting at Fuddruckers a couple of years back, but definitely cool. ;)

Most definitely not as cool as the Mantis. ;)
I mean....at least you got a Mav. I got a broken down Rockette.

And now we know why.....

Hey doc, you should have had him sign your chest...

I wish I had been wearing my Dirk Football jersey. ;)

Was it hard to not stare directly at the lazy eye?

LOL @ 41!!!
I have to admit...he was pretty cool. Not pretentious at all like you might expect a star athlete to be. He and the older woman that was with him were very nice. There were two others with him but they didn't say anthing really. Just smiled.

Haha, good pick I agree.

TMac's a cool cat for a non-Maverick. When Tracy and Dirk went toe to toe in the shoot out, they paid their respects to each other. Truly special game it was.
Tracy also openly spoke out about the reffing in the offseason on behalf of the Mavericks.... AND JUSTICE WHILE OPENLY CONDEMNING TYRANNY, OPPRESSION AND THE MIDGET WHO RUNS THE NBA AND REPRESENTS ALL THAT IS EVIL AND BASE.
Ahem, I mean, I wish him a brand new back and a healthy Yao for Christmas.

T-Mac seems like a decent enough dude. For his sake, I hope he gets his back right again.
12-25-2006, 11:13 AM
Yeah, Tmac seems like a good guy, not too arrogant like some stars can be.

Tmac actually gained tons of respect from me in the 2005 season after he and Dirk had the shootout, and especially after we beat them in the 1st round of the playoffs
he was crazy good in that series
oh, not to mention that 11 points in 13 seconds or whatever it was at the end of the game against the Spurs to win it

Personally, I want to see the Rockets get healthy. I don't wan them to slip down to the #6, 7, or 8 spot in the West come playoff time and then get fully healthy and face the Mavs in the first round.. Although, if they did end up facing the Spurs in round 1, that'd be ok.

So you're telling me you didn't fart in his general direction? Not even a SBD?
My disappointment knows no bounds.

Sorry cap....I had no ammo.
Nice point murph.
