Yes, it was against the Nuggets, but I can be hopeful that someone will help us out by beating the Spurs.

Unfortunately, San Antonio doesn't have a single tough game left.
They have Detroit, probably without Ben Wallace. And since Detroit has clinched their division and has almost no chance to catch NJ for the conference title, its a team that has very little to play for.
They play Utah on the final game of the season. At that point Utah will be locked into 8th and be looking to rest Stockton and Malone for the hopes of a long shot in the playoffs.
And in between they have Phoenix and Memphis.

if the mavs are a game up going into the last game..it's looking more and more appealing being in the #4 spot as opposed to the #2 spot

I understand about the better matchups if we have the #4 seed compared to the #2 seed, but I really want to see them win the MidWest division.
