I can't believe I'm letting my money get mad. But there is NO WAY I can bet on the spurts winning, no way.

Goodbye easy money.

so to quote a stat from ESPNs broadcast earlier.... the Spurs are 2-4 in games decided by 5 points or less?

Spurs kind of got jobbed with that BS call on Parker at the end but Duncan got the same call against the Mavs earlier in the season.

I am so bad at this point split thing. I think I'll just always bet against the Mavs because then we'll have a perfect season and the Spurs will never win again.

Good thing they got rid of Nazr and Rasho.

All summer, Spurs fans (most of whom don't show up here anymore) talked about how they wouldn't miss those two since they didn't even play them in the Dallas series. The thing is, is you have to play 82 games first and, as spare as they could be at times, those centers helped them win 60+. Last years Rasho was better than this years Oberto and last years Nazr was better than this years Elson.

Ditto! I thought they were foolish to let go Nazr & Rasho as well, for the same reason as you mentioned.

You can't help but wonder if it's a trend, that the last three NBA champs did not have stellar regular seasons.

The good thing is that Spurs rarely lose 2 in a row. So that increses the odds of them beating the Suns tonight.

I hate to say it, but that was a BS call. If I were a Spurs fan I'd be pretty pissed.

ah well. I'd pay vCash for a Spurs loss any day

I won 3000 vchips on the Spurs loss (but I also lost 3000 on the Mavs--thought for sure they would beat the Griz by more points).

I have pretty much given up the goal of trying to stay anywhere near the Suns or the Mavs and just hope to get in the middle of the pack come playoff time.

Actually I think they were trying to get cheaper. I don't see how getting worse at center helps you match up with Dallas or PXH.

[quote]You can't help but wonder if it's a trend, that the last three NBA champs did not have stellar regular seasons.

Well, SA won 59 games a couple of years ago so their season wasn't much worse then stellar. My guess is that Det and Mia were aberrations. I don't think that teams with fewer than 55 regular wins going on to be NBA champions is a trend.

Spurts will be 3-5. They'll be pretty stout against everyone but the mavs so they probably would rather stay out of their bracket until the finals. I'd love to see them match up with the suns, that would be a hoot.

Based on his recent betting history... BSR is now officially more a Mavs' fan than Spurs!
