Kobe did one of those sick dunks against Boston again. Is this the type of dunk he is known for?

I got this from LG.net today:

Kobe's patented baseline windmill/double clutch dunks:

1) Kobe @ Minni over KG and Nestorivic

I've gotta say that they're alll overrated. Two points are two points. I'd rather see a nice running hook any day of the week.

Kobe's signature move is and forever will be the backdoor play.

Yet you rather suck d!ck with someone who can do a "running hook any day of the week." Maybe its time you take that stick out of your ass.

I thought of this thread earlier tonight, when I watched Wade try, and miss, a reverse dunk that looked to be an easy two points if he'd have just laid it in. That was dickness.

But at the same time, unless you think every player is a robot you have to recognize the impact a well-timed and well-played dunk can have--on *both* teams. Hey, Avery Johnson knows this. See my sig. Dunk on somebody and scream. It's all part of it.

It's a lot like the big hit in football. A tackle is just a tackle, right? The ball-carrier stops right there. But big hits can energize a defense. They can intimidate an offense. They can have an effect on the game.

It's all about timing, though. There are meaningful dunks and there are not so meaningful dunks, all depending on context.

I know that a big dunk can be momentum changing. But, 95+ percentage of them are nothing more than a glorified layup in my opinion.

Nothing's more deflating than a 'meaningful dunk' being followed up by the other team drilling an open jumper..

Dunking the ball is the best option, it is the highest percentage shot, you put the ball in the cylinder. I fail to see the debate.

Perhaps it will be if he can keep it up. Dirk's got the fadeaway jumper, Wade's got his free throws, Kobe needs his own signature move too.

Obviously, if you can dunk the ball, that is the best option. No one is debating that.
