RMA, you have to pick and choose your battles or you end up jaded and banned like Doc. Quite honestly, this guy isn't worth the time. He won't be here long term regardless. He's not someone that's going to impact the board for more than just a couple of days. He's not the type of troll that really needs to be dealt with. Once you deal with a guy like this, he's more likely to actually WANT to make his presence felt long term. If you ignore a poster such as this, they'll forget about the forum and go away quickly.
You have to know your different types of trolls:
You have your temporary troll fan of another team that's just a bit bored but won't be around long term unless fed by the masses.
You have your Mavs fan troll that gets pissy any time anyone says anything positive about any other team other than the Mavs... or any time anyone says anything negative about
the Mavs.. this type will stay long term if allowed. They'll also get pissed at other Mavs fans easily
You have your unintelligent Mavs fan troll that floods the board with idiotic posts. They may worship a specific player such as Eddie Najera. They're likely to love one player but not know or care much about the rest of the team. They could be a Mavs fan simply because they believe that one player is hot. Yes, they do worry about which Mavs player is dating which Mavs dancer and whatnot. This fan is best left to forums such as MavTalk. They will stay around if they're allowed.
You have a combination of the last two trolls mentioned. Yes, they will stay around as long as they're allowed. They're more damaging to the board than any fan of another team could ever be. They make Mavs fans look bad in general.. Make the fans of the team look unintelligent just because of association.
There's the troll that visits simply looking for a fight... No, they might not be a fan of any other team. They could be a Mavs fan. They could be just a guy that wants to take on another poster just for kicks. Often, they'll attack one member in particular as if they have some sort of personal vendetta. About half of these will be banned immediately. Some of the rest will stick around and actually make something of themselves such as TwoDeep.
There's other types of trolls...but, Friday Night Lights is on.
