In two of his first three games with the Hawks, ex-Mav Anthony Johnson has scored an efficient 17 and 15 points. In the third game, against the Mavs, Johnson had only 2. Go figure.

=/

It's cuz he's getting a lot more minutes and shot attempts. But he's still fat and has no neck.

Johnson is a good, solid, productive player. I knew he would put up numbers somewhere, just didnt fit our scheme and attitude.

Glad to see it.

Nope, not yet. About a week or so ago I sent it to his email address through nba.com/mavs but then a couple days ago I sent it to his blogmaverick account. I didn't realize the blogmaverick was like email, I thought it was just a comment.

Johnson fits perfectly with the Hawks. He's more productive bec he has more minutes in Atl. He clearly didnt shine during his stint with Dal as to the fact that he is fat and that he doesnt fit in Avery's system due to his fatness. :D

Me too. Not a bad player, or person, just a bad fit.

This might be a good trade for the Mavs. Hopefully AJ can help Atlanta can turn around their season and make a strong push at the end. Then maybe the pick Atlanta turns over to Phoenix might be out of the top 10.

We get a 2nd rounder AND we help Atlanta (and thereby hurting Phoenix). Double win for us.

Whoa! Now he's hot after a 17 and 15 outing?

Whoa. I didn't know Phoenix got a #1 from the Hawks. Imagine that team if the lottery balls somehow fall into the #1 or #2 spot. Actually I don't want to imagine it.

Isn't that Phoenix #1 protected if it is in the top 3 or top 5... I know I heard something like that.

yes, it's top 3 protected.

The Hawks have lost 6 straight. They went from a decent 22-33 to only being above Boston in just a couple of weeks.
