It's reminding me a lot of the game we played on a back-to-back in Denver last year that ended our 13-game win streak...very sloppy on the Suns' behalf, and other than some turnovers, near perfection so far by the Nuggets. Suns allow 37 points in the 1st quarter, head into the second trailing by 12. Could be a very good night for Mavs fans with the Spurs down by 4 with 6 seconds to go. :D

Well with both spurs and maybe phoenix losing twice in the week, we keep the top place in power rankings :) I have hoped for some time now that denver plays phoenix in the first round, they have all the ingredients to stay with them in a series, but it seems like it will be a Lakers - Suns rematch

Maybe we should come up with a code word for thread titles that give the stream URL. Like, make a reference to food in every thread title that announces a stream. EX: "The Suns are getting whooped by the Denver Chicken McNuggets" Or, "I Love Footlongs from Sonic, Just Like I Love a Sonics/Warriors Game"

Edit for a funnier food reference

Yeah that's kind of cool, i don't know if I have the imagination to do that though, I will just start threads for games, and then post the threads there without saying anything about a stream.
By the way, Phoenix is getting shellacked once again. I think they believed the season was over on Wednesday and that the NBA already was fitting the rings for them.

I will try to keep posting them as much as I can find but we can't really overdo it.By the way, I wouldn't really worry too much about this. I'd bet that the League Pass is a very, very small part of the NBA revenue stream to begin with, and I would feel quite confident the effects of hard-core folks like us who will sit down and watch a stream don't impact much their bottom line.

I so much hope that this is a first round matchup for the Suns, but I think Denver is getting better and will be a 6 seed, and with the Spurs they don't match quite as well. They have everything you need to beat the Suns, or at the very least take them 6 or 7.

Dantoni has a real dilemma here. He ought to just shut 'em down, since there's no way in hell he is getting the number one seed anyway (and even if he does, it probably isn't crucially valuable). But with the style his team plays, they are realistically not out of it.

Denver can score on anyone man (they are actually the fastest team in the league, warriors 2nd, Suns 3rd) and Phoenix will not stop them much anyway. If this is the score into the 4th quarter they will shut it down. It's funny that many Phx fans kept saying that with all their starter they never lose by double digits, which is why they were better than the Mavs which have had some blowouts go against them (houston, gs). Now Phx has lost twice in a row, and both have been huge blowouts. I think they thought they won the trophy on Wednesday, typical for a regular season team.

This is what I don't understand when we play the Suns. Jason Terry can kill Nash 1 on 1, we saw it when Nash was here and we would play Atlanta. I know he defers to his teammates a lot in trying to be a point guard, but I think when he plays Steve he should just exploit him.

Marion is completely incapable of creating his own shot. He does a lot of things well, but his points come almost exclusively off of 3-pointers (which he's not a very good at, though he shoots them a ton), and dunks, mostly created from broken plays, fast breaks, or good passes from his teammates. Offensively, he's a tool, and a product of the Suns system. That said, he still is a good defender and rebounder.

Wow. AI just dominated this game. 16-22 from the field for 44 points, along with 14 dimes.

Carmelo and Iverson seem to be complimenting each other nicely these days. Still, the Nuggets can't guard anybody. If Kiki's smart, he'll do everything he can this offseason to get a Battier-type defensive wingman, and maybe another shooter. They've kind've got the Devin Harris syndrome with Steve Blake. He's a really nice player, but starting two small point guards like that is always going to cause problems for you defensively. I think the Nuggets are really pretty close to being an elite team. Hell, I think they're already better than Utah.

There were five head coaches tonite in the Suns/Nugz game: Mike, Dan, Tony, George, and Karl.

Im thinking that a Nuggets-Suns matchup in the first round sounds like a top notch idea

I kind of like that too...

First round suns - nuggets...then assuming they get past that.
Second round suns-spurs.....then assuming they get past that.
WCF mavs waiting on suns....

A most excellent bracket.

Kiki is not the GM anymore. That is why he is working for ESPN. I don't know that Denver is better than Utah, this is the first time they have really gotten it together, and as you say they are pretty bad defensively.

My bad. Who is their GM these days?

Either way, I still stay they're better than Utah. Utah may be a more balanced team, and much more cohesive at this point, but any team who has the NBA's two most prolific scorers is always going to be dangerous.

Let me put it this way. Utah may be a better team, but Denver is scarier.

I don't really fear Denver at all. They have their games here and there but the subderrivative of sigma to the square root of B denotes that theory.

Oh I don't fear them either. But I fear Utah even less.

If this is the fallout of squeaking out a win against our Mavs, bring on this five game series already. I don't think we'll see PHX in the CF though. I'd still bet on the Spurs, who ALSO lost tonight!!

Things are definitely shaky.

The Suns have lost twice -- by a combined 46 points -- since their 129-127 double-overtime win at Dallas on Wednesday night. They lost to Detroit 105-83 Friday night, which D'Antoni blamed on emotional exhaustion.

"We're still feeling it," Steve Nash said. "It was a big win. We have to get back to the way we were before that game."

So it takes so much out of the Suns to eek out a win against the Mavs, they get blown out twice. Does that mean if you spot 'em the 1st game of a 7 game series, its over in 5?

Really? How big of a win is still 4 games back, taking double OT to beat us, and 8-4 in your last 12 against the best team in league? From now on, its called the big Choke Nashy.

Anyone else on these boards still want to make a case for that team playing defense? Yikes.

I wouldn't start talking about this being a good playoff matchup. This was exactly like our back to back in Denver last year. Sloppy and turnover-filled. It's just hard to play up there after playing the night before.

Dewsaw steals it themselves, they are not the original source for the stream, they just get them from somewhere and to make a name for themselves put them online. Stupid if you ask me, but what can you do. That is the freedom of the internet.
