Olajuwon deal nets 15th pick

The Toronto draft choice the Rockets acquired in Hakeem Olajuwon's sign-and-trade deal will be worth the 15th selection in the first round if the Rockets keep it.

A tie with Indiana was broken in a draw on Wednesday. The Pacers were given the rights to the 14th choice.

The Rockets owe the Grizzlies a first-round pick from a deal with which they acquired Steve Francis and have the option to send Memphis either their own pick, a pick within two spots of their own or a pick that falls within the top 15 this season or next.

The draft order will be determined with the May 19 lottery. With 89 out of 1,000 ping-pong balls, the Rockets hold an 8.9 percent chance of moving up from fifth with their own pick to first, a 9.75 percent chance of moving up to second and a 10.78 percent of choosing third. They could also fall to sixth, seventh or eighth.

The Rockets also hold the Pistons' second-round pick, 53rd overall, from the Raptors in the Olajuwon deal and could receive Miami's second-round pick, 38th overall.
