Jackson's postgame comments get NBA's attention

NEW YORK -- The NBA has spoken with the Los Angeles Lakers about a sexual reference coach Phil Jackson made in a comment following Tuesday night's game in San Antonio.

The Spurs made 13 3-pointers in their 107-92 victory, and Jackson was asked if too much penetration was leading to open outside shooters.

"We call this a 'Brokeback Mountain' game, because there's so much penetration and kickouts," Jackson said. "It was one of those games."

The 2005 film, which won three Oscars, depicts two cowboys who conceal their homosexual affair.

"The remarks are in poor taste, and the Lakers have assured us such remarks will not occur in the future," league spokesman Brian McIntyre said.

Ha ha! That is almost as good as Phil's doctor's line about his kidney stone... "We named the stone Kobe because it wouldn't pass."

I think few would actually find this offensive.

Why can't gay people take a joke.
They can take much rougher things in more sensitive areas.

When you have 9 NBA titles, you can say whatever the hell you want short of a blatantly racist or sexist remark. And you might even get away with the latter.

His "apology" was much funnier than the actual comment.

"If I've offended any horses, Texans, cowboys or gays, I apologize," Jackson said.

Haha...

Yeah, I can't people all these media personalities were getting so offended about it. I'm sure it was just a holier-than-thou front. Personally, I thought it was hilarious.
