View Full Version : Kings and Lakers barely make it to the second
I'm really liking the Mavs' chances now.

Lakers barely made it to the second round? How so?
I wouldn't say the Lakers "barely" made it since they swept the FailBlazers, but the Kings/Jazz series definitely could have gone either way. The Jazz could just have easily swept the first three games. Amazing. I have a feeling the Kings will put up more of a fight against the Mavs though. I really don't know why everyone thinks the Mavs can handle Sac easily..those guys don't have the best record in the NBA for nothing.
Just that the Blazers played them close. Had Horry not made that three-pointer, there would have been at least one more if not two more games in that series.
I'm surprised and a little concerned the Kings haven't scored over 100 yet in the playoffs. I wonder whether they're looking to the Mavs series as the time to really let loose and regain their scoring touches.
I hope the Mavs's late-season D will show up in Sactown on Saturday.

I think using Lakers and barely opened it up for criticism. The Lakers are the champs...until we take it from them. They pretty much had their way with teh blazers.
I just want to concentrate on one series at a time. We know our opponent and we should be able to beat them. Let the Laker question wait - the Spurs might actually beat them.

The laker-spurs series will be tough.
Go Mavs...beat the Kings!
Did I miss something? I didn't think the Spurs won yet. Still looking for an upset here.

you are correct Kat...just assuming here.
I want to see the Spurs go up against the Lakers. Duncan+Parker plus perhaps Robinson should be able to extend the Lakers to at least six if not seven. The Sonics won't be able to do much against the Lakers if they somehow manage to move into the second round.
