Rod Strickland was bought out of his contract today and he was cut. He can play some ball. I wouldnt mind seeing him in a mavs uniform, just for the rest of this year. He can light it up and play.

They say the front-runners are Portland and Miami, I guess we'll see what happens.

I bet he sign's in Miami. And he has to sign before this afternoon if he wants to be eligible for the playoffs.

he has to clear waivers first, which takes 48 hours, before he can sign anywhere.
The Blazers are apparently interested in offering Strickland their $2.25 million mid-level exception.

If that happens, I guess Greg Anthony won't be playing hardly at all anymore. Signing Strickland would give Portland 5 point guards, with Stoudamire, Anthony, Gary Grant, and Erick Barkley.
The Blazers are set to sign Strickland on Monday.

That means he can't play in the playoffs right?
I hope they get some really good chemistry going with Rod and then have to break that chemistry up come playoff time. i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif
Monday's signing should make him inelegible to play during the playoffs. I hope he pisses some people off there i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif
