Obviously, Steve Nash will win MVP because he doesn't have Amare.

crazy how low Granger falls on our lists

I love him as a scorer but he wouldn't be the 25 ppg scorer he is with Indiana if he had any talent around him and he's not the greatest defender, mainly because he doesn't put the effort into it.

In fact, this is probably just me, but when Joe Johnson and Danny Granger were discussed this offseason as possible matches for the Mavericks (wishful thinking at best, but it was certainly discussed) my mind immediately said "yes" to Granger, but hesitated at Johnson a little bit. I would of course take Johnson, because he's a talent, but I kept thinking "jump shooter", "streaky", "did you see him in the playoffs?". Honestly, though, I think they are just about the same player, even though I view Granger as this crazy underrated superstar and Johnson as this crazy overrated jump shooting choker.

Stats? 79% of Johnson's shots are jumpers, compared to 75% for Granger (for reference, Dirk was at 81% last year). When you look at the 16+ foot jumpers that each player takes, its about 9 and a half for Johnson, where Granger takes 11 a game (they took about the same number of shots each game, too, last year).

So I don't really know what I'm trying to prove here...I guess either that Granger's underrated or Johnson's overrated, or something like that. They're both good players, both similar players, that much I do know.

Not sure about 6-20 but I agree with FF1/Dub on my top 5:

Kobe
LeBron
Durant
Wade
Dirk

Some of you guys are seriously overrating a Milwaukee Bucks player from Australia whose name rhymes with Pandrew Logut. Listing him ahead of Tim Duncan, Danny Granger, Rondo, Yao, Parker, Manu, etc... Well, OK.

Clearly you don't watch many Bucks games. Bogut is the 2nd best defensive center in the NBA behind D12 and anchors one of the best defenses in the league. Add that to the fact that he's a great passer with a very good post game, and you easily have a top 20 player. His impact is huge.

He is a fine center - and improving - but he is not a top 20 player in my opinion.

That's fair enough. But listing him in the top 20 isn't overrating him. Anyone 15-30 gets a bit murky.
