Stackhouse, who signed a one-year, $1.4 million veteran's minimum contract, provides the Heat with another scorer with size. He will fill the void left by [Mike] Miller, who is out until January after undergoing thumb surgery.

No surprises here.

I'm feeling more confident already for when we play them.

Please, Miami, sign me to a one-year contract. I'll wave towels and be LeBron's personal servant-- I just want me a free championship ring.

that's just what im concerned about. after signing the big 3, the heat have no more room to afford even a medium signing. with big 3 all healthy and fit the Miami Heat are guaranteed the championship, with one injured they will be contenders but no way champions.

Yeah, but I would imagine that he's looking rather skeletal these days.

That's absurd. He's too old even if he were alive. Why would they want an old man like that if they could have Abdul Jabbar.
