View Full Version : Cuban: "Kings in 6, Charles is Clueless"

Cubes is picking the Kings in 6 and he claims Barkley is "clueless" when he says the Kings have no chance in hell of winning the series.

I think Cubes is right, if the officiating is good, Sac Town should win.

I am with barkley on this one ... though Iīd love to see the Lakers fall ...

Cubes is very optimistic ...

Lakers in six...Barkley has forgotten more about basketball than Cuban will ever know...

1-0 LA. Will be a short series.

I beg to differ Fidel. The Lakers played their best possible game and the Kings were still in it. Plus, it was 8 on 5 because the Fakers got every freakin' call.

If this series was reffed evenly throughout and if peja was healthy kings would take it in 5.

the nba just wants a celtics-lakers final it's so obvious.

I'd say it was 8 on 4, in the 4th. Webber was nowhere to be found.

Hales233
05-18-2002, 08:33 PM
WTF are you talking about? Webber had at least 8 points in the 4th Q...you guys need to give it up.

MavKikiNYC
05-18-2002, 08:41 PM
Webber did NOTHING to turn the tide for the Kings. In fact, on the two occasions when Sac had closed to within 5, he turned the ball over on an offensive foul with a STUPID hot-dog pass, then failed to grab a crucial rebound which the Lakers put back in to bump up the lead.

28 points means nothing if he fails to perform in the clutch--and that pretty much defines both his pro AND college career.

He looks more gutless every time I see him play. The REAL faker steps up.

whatever man, shaq and kobe are great players too, and they have the refs on their side...just because webber didn't singlehandedly win the game doesn't mean he sucked.

how bout turkolo(sp?) scoring 0 points. I don't hear you mentioning that.

get over the fact dirk had a shitty series and webber and the kings murdered us. get that through your head pal.

Turkey was a cypher. Literally.

i'll let the mods take care of ya...back to the topic at hand which you ruined...

MavKikiNYC
05-18-2002, 09:11 PM
fine by me. go turn yourself in.

The topic, from which YOU diverged, was the Kings v. Lakers series, the first game of which was just played, and in which Webber choked.

DEAL WITH THAT!

Hales233

Kings 4, Mavs 1.

Webber 4, Dirk 1.

Hales 4, Kiki 1.

Celtics 4, Knicks 1.

you are the one worrying about being clever seeing as you edit every one of your posts to TRY and come up with something comical.

I didn't watch the game, but it seems a bit odd to me that Webber had ZERO FT attempts. Did he just shoot jumpers all day or were the refs letting the Lakers hack him?

DTL
05-18-2002, 11:55 PM
He shot jumpers all day, and the one time I remember him trying to take it to the hoop, he got all confused and was called -- very fairly -- for a charge while trying to throw a pass out.

Nice game by C-Webb, just not much of a difference made by him. The Lakers had total control today.

(BTW, why is this thread here?)

CWebb posted up quite a bit actually and hit some nice jump hooks.

Hales, this has got nothing to do with the Mavs.

<< If this series was reffed evenly throughout and if peja was healthy kings would take it in 5. >>

Sorry, but the Lakers have won 12 straight road playoff games. They have the most dominating player in the NBA (Shaq), and probably the most clutch player also (Kobe). To blame the Lakers victory on the refs is just rediculous. They were the better team and had total control of that game. Itīs really that simple. And the big IF. Imagine what happened IF Shaq was healthy? This would be a sweep for sure. Shaq is maybe at 60% right now and thatīs the only reason the Kings might be able to win a game or two. Iīd love to see the Lakers fall, but as long as Shaq is playing for them that wonīt happen.

Hey Fidel why the *edit* do you care if this thread is in the Mavs section? Do you really have that much free time on your hands to worry about stupid things like that? I guess you do.

Cuban made the comment, that's why I put it here. I'll check with you from now on before I post to see where each thread should go.

Chill, Hales. No need to F-bomb in response to a simple question like that. Cubes said it, so you put it here. Cool. Thanks. Now let's move on to hoops talk.

What are you talking about? I was referring to your argument with MavKikki. Did I say anything about the thread being in the wrong place? I didnīt, cause I really couldnīt care less. Anyways, since you seem to lose it pretty quickly Iīll end my conversation with you right here.

<<"Hales, this has got nothing to do with the Mavs.">>

That's the post you made that confused me...if I'm wrong about something, fill me in...just didn't make any sense to me.

Fidel

I was talking about your argument with MavKikki, where you said something like we should get over the fact the Mavs lost to Sac. The thread was about Lakers-Sac and had nothing to do with the Mavs loss. Thatīs what I meant.
