This has been the best Slam contest that I have seen in many years.

BTW:

- I think Nash could have won the Skills contest.

- I hated to see Stojacovic winning the Shootout.

- The Hoop it Up is very boring.

- The Rookie Challenge was a joke. Zero defense. The Rookies scored 69 in the first half and the Sopho's 80 in the second half. And I think both teams added up some 100 TO's (it seemed so).

Props to both JRich and D. Mason. I have to admit it was better than I thought it would be. I would still like to see the star players compete like the MLB makes their top home run hitters compete for the home run derby.

Dirk is a truely gifted athelete, but I highly doubt that he could come anywhere close to the dunks in the slam dunk competition. No knock on Dirk, but that's not his game.

I agree Dirk can dunk, but he could never win the dunking contest.

Win a dunk contest?!he could'nt even do what Richard jefferson did.
the man is a 7 footer,an unless his name is KG he has no elevation.
with all the respect for dirk,he could'nt even compete in the contast.

The rookie game was incredibly cool. I never knew Jamaal Tinsley could dribble so well. Jason Richardson's dunks were extraordinary. And it's childish to complain about the lack of defence. It's an exhibition game; you don't want your players to risk injury by diving after loose balls. The game was played for one reason- FUN. Whinging about defence doesn't make you intelligent.

and mason's one where he brought it up, then put it thru his legs and then dunked.
