I wouldn't have been upset if we would have signed Kemba by any means, but considering we didn't have any chance, I think the Mavs made out pretty well.

Skin mentioned last week that Mavs' FO wanted to sign Seth, Green and Wright after they struck out on Kemba. They got two out of the three and of those three I'm glad they signed the two they did.
I think if Horford doesn't bolt Boston we stand a good shot at signing Kemba. This was a strange year in which most big business was seemingly done before FA even began. Other teams were agreeing to terms with other teams players under contract and we were having dinner with KP. Even if that was in part a reaction to foreknowledge of Kemba, Brogdon, etc. being done deals, it contributed to the perception of unpreparedness. We may never know how interested in Brogdon they ever were and whether that trade blindsided MBT. It would behoove both Indy and Milwaukee to keep that hush hush. Seems like if they really wanted to prioritize Brogdon it would've been immediate offer sheet or back channels communication with his agent and Mil. so maybe we didn't have interest at his price point or injuries factored in.
