I honestly think the Mavs are holding JJB back for the back part of the season....especially the POs.

Luka got so tired of RC's 4th quarter subs he's decided to just keep putting everyone away by the 3rd.

Luka has entered a new level. I know people think he has this galactic ceiling, and that may be true, but it's pretty hard to play better than he is playing right now.

Agree. He seems more focused and zeroed in. Less emotional. I think after some of the early season losses, he realizes he needs to be focused on every possession.

Luka missed a third consecutive triple-double by 3 rebounds. 30pts 7reb and 14asst in 28 minutes? Luka's slacking off.

Blowouts bad for Luka and KP stats but good for keeping them rested and the bench players getting some good burn.

He's only 20, so hopefully RC can get constructive with him and plug some of the holes in his game. He really should've had 3 more rebounds with all the minutes he played. Let's give him a break though, since he's showing some promise. :-D

Games like these make me think that we agreed to losing some games to the Knicks in our trade. I just don't understand how THIS team lost to the Knicks, twice.

I don't think even the Avengers would have an answer for Luka. Playoffs are going to be a blast this year!

He can be much better than this. His conditioning is still nowhere near where it could be, and he will continue to limit his mistakes. And yeah, he can do anything, but that doesn't mean he cannot improve in all aspects, still.

His 3pt% is the most obvious area where there's room for improvement. He can definitely improve his FT% too. I bet over the next few years he can work his way into 50-40-90 territory, or at least close to it. And while I don't think he'll ever be a great defensive player, I think he can eventually be decent- as Dirk did. He'll never have the quickness to be a great one-on-one defender, but he can improve his team defense and disrupt the passing lanes- he already has shown real improvement in this area since last year.

Cavs just beat the Blazers. I'm enjoying their slide down the standings.

Blazers would be better off “organically” tanking and next year hopefully come back with a healthy Zach and Nurk. Whiteside comes off the cap. I root for them as I appreciate Dame and C.J. devotion to the city and they have great fans and Stotts. And my best friend lives there so we talk consistently about them. They may have something in Nasir Little and of course Simons, though he’s proven to be not quite ready.

Yea I just dont believe in smaller guards carrying the team and they seem adamant on it. CJ and Dame are great but I would hate to be a Blazer fan.

It’d be tough but I think you have to see what package you can put together with CJ. Love them both and they are my second fav team to root for but small guards can only take you so far. Maybe this season is a lull after feeling like they peaked last season.
