Please don't compare Barea to Nash. I feel weird just typing those names in the same sentence.

I dont know but this guy is playing great.....if you watch him play, you will see so much confidence in his style right now. I aint gonna lie....I hate JJB defensively, but right now he is running the offense almost, if not better than Kidd and with surgeon precision.

I seen him make a two handed pass to Marion on the break that was so un-JJB like that I had to rewind the DVR to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me....look if this guy was just another 3-4 inches he would be ideal as a long term solution as a backup PG.

Last night he made a great pass after great pass and set up the offense almost perfectly every time...the no look pass to Haywood completely froze Dalembert.....it looks as if he has BBIQ has dramatically improved....dont look now but I think JJB has finally turned the corner

Okay resign the damn Midget Donnie!

Prediction: he will have some more good games, and also some bad ones. He will also have some games that fall somewhere in the middle.

That's pretty sick, although I would think that most NBA players can probably dunk on an empty court. I know it's not empty, but you know what I mean. No defenders around. Just practice. Boykins doesn't count.

Off topic question kinda I know this is about JJB, but.. Is anyone all that impressed with Blake Griffin? I mean, doesn't there come a time when one needs to prove that they aren't just a flashy dunk artist? I know this is technically his rookie season, but isn't it just like an attention thing? I've always been more impressed with 3 pt shots and, of course, Dirk's bada$$ fade away. It just shows more finesse and skill, imho. He's a good player, but is he actually great?

I'm in the minority in that I think Blake is overrated (absolutely terrible defender, less than a block a game despite being an athletic freak of nature, inconsistent jumper, seems to pout at times...I don't think he'll ever be an MVP) but he most certainly is well on his way to being a great player. Underrated passer too.

I'm not getting in comparisons with Dirk, but I am absolutely sure that Blake Griffin is a very, very large part of the future of the NBA. He's the "Next Big Thing" about five times over. And you can like threes and elbow fades all you want, but when this guy grows into his own he will make you forget them.

Yeah... Terrible player for sure. His defense is nothing like Dirk's either, right? And Dirk has a higher defensive RPG percentage, right?

Jesus Christ dude... Really? Now you hate on this dude?

Nah - just combining his opinions from multiple threads. He sees no faults of he who shall not be named and finds faults in all others. It is comical at best, embarrassing at worst. I enjoy pointing those things out - especially when called out by such lunacy.

Well, he likes to worship at the altar of Dirk Nowitzki, that I know. Cuz Dirk is good and stuff. And guys like Najera and Barea...they are not good and stuff.

One would think that it seems like a fairly uninteresting schema. You know...the good guys do well, the bad guys don't, and so forth...but this guy has a hard-on...

Anyway...look, I'm not gonna speak for the guy, but everybody knows that Blake is an absolute talent. You're just pretending, otherwise.

Blake Griffin is the future of empty stats...

I'm sure he'll sell a lot of shoes.

EDIT: wait, why are we talking about this in the JJB thread?

I was just wondering what y'all's take on the gorilla man was. I'm only 21 and although I love basketball, I wasn't as big of a fan until just last year. I was more into video games when I was a kid so I missed out on this amazing sport. I honestly read about the NBA everyday .. previous drafts.. old MVP players.. just everything. I am an absolute fanatic now and I just want to thank you guys for keeping this forum alive. You guys are much more basketball savvy than I could ever hope to be and I love reading everyone's opinion. Best forums ever.

What I'm trying to get at is... I may ask stupid things or say something you scoff at, but bear with me. I'm learning things from you guys. I just want to learn.

Anyway, JJB is killer and if we must trade him, make sure we get someone who can play some D. JJB always seemed like too much of a detriment in previous years because of this, but he's been tearing it up offensively and this whole team has more D to it.

I also wanted to know.. Do you guys think Chris Bosh looks like a catfish? It's uncanny to me.

My nickname for JJB is 'the fly'... because he gets swatted every time he drives.

Times blocked per game: 0.48 (24th among PGs with 40+ games and 20+ mpg)
Percentage of FGs blocked: 6.00 (19th among PGs with 40+ games and 20+ mpg)

And he holds a solid 59.9 FG% at the rim (league average: 60.4% among PGs with 40+ games and 20+ mpg) which is better than Rose, Westbrook and Harris for example.

So: Whats your point?

Every time I see Bosh on T.V. I can't help but stare. I know it's rude, but he is just weird looking. On the other hand, every time I see Bogut on T.V., I puke a little in my mouth. I don't know why, but I feel like he is the smelliest guy on the court.

JJ is the man. Wow that girl... Yes, Bosh looks like a dinosaur. At first i thought Blake Griffin is overrated, but he is not. He's already skilled around the basket, and actually showing some signs being able to swish long(ish) jumpers, and even three balls. He'll be an impact player, no way he'll be putting up empty numbers. Heck, the Clippers already kinda started winning with him. Next year, they're a playoff team. But back to the topic, JJ's really putting up 14/4 on 55%/46% in the last 5 months? That's absolutely crazy. :O

And he holds a solid 59.9 FG% at the rim (league average: 60.4% among PGs with 40+ games and 20+ mpg) which is better than Rose, Westbrook and Harris for example.

So: Whats your point?
My point is he's small and I see him get blocked a lot. I don't need your little stats lol. It's nothing serious just my joke of a nickname I call JJB. I do appreciate him he's been playing good. I just call him the fly. That is all.

His point is that he just don't like short basketball people. He didn't like tiny nate and he doesn't like JJB. He likes big tall men!! If you know what I mean and I THINK you do!!

I'm a man who gives credit where it's due. JJB has played some very good basketball since the start of 2011.
