Wizards are 2-2 when Westbrook sits and 1-8 when he plays. Maybe Cuban was right?

Nostradamus lol
Silas is doing an amazing job considering what that team was dealing with doing the Harden fiasco
Since the James Harden trade, the Houston Rockets have the highest-rated defence in the league and have won 63% of their games.
These guys have something to prove 😤

MVP at this point in the season?
Nikola Jokic*is filling up the stat sheet in basically every category this year.
NBA ranks this season:*2nd in Points, 3rd in Assists, 4th in Rebounds, T-2nd in Steals, 6th in Minutes, 1st in PER, Win Shares, BPM, VORP.
He is 12th in the league in defensive win shares, and 7th in defensive box plus/minus.
(Also T-1st in Turnovers)
Luka Doncic in January:
28.3 pts (47.5 FG%, 33 3P%), 10.1 reb, 10.3 ast, 6 triple doubles

For me the top three MVPs are Embiid, Jokic and Lebron. Luka unfortunately isn't in the conversation because the Mavs suck right now.

Rose to Knicks for draft picks and DSJ as ballast.
Rumor is that DSJ will be waived as he's on his last year and is not fully guaranteed. Is this the end of DSJ's NBA career?

Crazy how much he fell off a cliff after leaving Dallas. Hope he is able to catch on a team and keep playing.

Sadly I think DSJ's career is over. At least in the NBA. He can always play overseas, and he probably should. It's sad, and frankly inexplicable. The guy clearly has the talent not just to be in the NBA, but to be a far better than average player. But something is clearly going on with him mentally. I hope he figures it out and gets it together.

I think Casey can help him.
He's done a terrific job with D.Wright this year making him a decent starting PG.
I think if Casey can Smith playing down hill again and attacking the basket also getting out in transition he'll have a chance to actually stick in Detroit.

Update- Embiid and Lebron have pulled so far ahead of the pack that at this point I'll be shocked if one of them isn't MVP. Embiid might be the best player in the league this year. And even though his numbers aren't quite as gawdy as they've been in years past, Lebron is actually having one of the best seasons of his career- he has repeatedly put the team on his back and come up huge with crunch-time heroics. Last year there was a bit of chatter about whether or not AD was the real MVP of the Lakers.... that talk has pretty much been put to rest. Lebron is still the Lakers' (and the NBA's) alpha dog, even at 36 years old.
If I had to pick right now, I'd pick Embiid for statistical brilliance alone, but just barely.

Jokic is still amazing but he has Luka's problem. 27-11-9 is great but they aren't winning

I dunno if anyone is watching Lakers/Grizzlies right now, but Lebron is doing it again. The Lakers were down by as much as 20 earlier, but they clawed back in, and Lebron has hit about 5 ridiculous shots in a row, and the Grizzlies just look demoralized.

Over the Laker's last 15 games, they've shot 29.9% from three...
good for dead last in the league. Over that same stretch, they're 22nd in offensive rating and 29th in turnovers. Despite the many offensive upgrades, they've really struggled getting the pieces to fit.
And after Lebron's hot start from deep, he's 9 of his last 46. Even with a healthy AD and DS, their offense has been hard to watch.
