I'm telling you, slow footed big men are a thing of the past. Kevin Love, KAT, Valanciunas, Nurkic all, in my eyes, looked like they were running in molasses in the playoffs. Not being able to switch defensively because of lack of mobility absolutely kills your team on defense in today's league.

We've all been discussing whether the defensive center is a thing of that past, but that isn't the really the issue. What matters is whether the big man can move their feet quickly on switches.

And I take that into big consideration with the draft for sure. Hence why I'm not as high on WCJ anymore.

And this is precisely why I am a fan of JJJ.

Long as he gets back on defense. No way he can stretch-armstrong blocks from half court.

Potential there for sure, but he had more than 8-10 Harden moments for Texas last year where he just didn't even go past halfcourt despite running like a gazelle.

He's definitely a guy that's known as someone that doesn't bust their tail. That worries me.

I don't know man.....I'd take a slow footed player the caliber of KAT.

If he had a quick defensive forward to cover up for his lack of defense, then yes it could work out.

But man, the playoffs were so painful with regards to his speed. Either he was out of shape or that's just how fast he really is.

KAT doesn't seem like he takes very good care of his body. Puffy. That can definitely change though. We'll see how he responds to the criticism and poor performance this summer

I just wrote it off as his first post season appearance. If he looks like that again this year.....there might be a problem. But I just think he needs to spend a offseason with Olajuwon.
