Grizzlies leading by 27 points against the Warriors...so it will be a draw between the three teams

20/10... The crowd was chanting M-V-P for Dirk, and it wasn’t just Mavs fans. I saw a lot of black & silver cheering him on. Easily the best SA crowd I’ve ever seen, they were hella respectful.

Not sure if you guys saw it in the broadcast, but Pop went into a rage on that last Dirk possession and waived his entire team off so that Dirk could sink his final points. It was pretty fucking amazing.

Will Drew Eubanks be back as a Spur next season after contesting Dirk's shot? If Dirk missed it, I think not.

Haven't posted for a decade or so. Still reading regularly

So, the final point arrived. Thanks, Dirk for all memories, it was a great ride!

And class act from Pop, the Spurs, and San Antonio fans. Very much appreciated given the history the last 20 years!

The emotional side says for Dirk to keep playing since he has looked so good...

...then you hear about what he has to go through just to play that day.

He probably should have retired when he had that ankle surgery, but it shows the type of competitor he is that he still wanted to keep playing. One of a kind.

Emotionally today is worse than yesterday. I hope this trend doesn't continue..... I guess at least you could look forward to one last game, half, quarter, end-of-game celebration.

Today it's already just looking up the past, mainly endless gifs of Dirk's last shot, and people giving him a farewell. Tough.

She's 21 years old. Dirk has literally been playing for the Mavs her entire life! Think about that....

That's also when we moved to Dallas...so even though I've been here over 20 years, that whole time Dirk was playing with the Mavs.

When it will hit me, really, though...is next season, when I watch the Mavs and Dirk's not there.

I think having Doncic and KP will help. I followed the Rockets while Hakeem was there...and watching them try to replace him over the ensuing years was...laughable. Literally. Hakeem made the others they brought in look ridiculous.
