Giannis might need such an opportunity, you know, one where an MVP-level ballhandler and creator is still on a rookie contract, to take him to the promised land.
This is why the idea of Giannis is so intoxicating. It's not just the prospect of teaming two superstars together. It's also that Luka's and Giannis' games just seem made for each other, don't they? It just seems like a match made in heaven. I mean, can you imagine a Luka-Giannis pick and roll? Those two could win multiple championships together, no question.

I realize not everyone wants to tease themselves daydreaming about it, because it is unlikely. And normally when superstars have free agency looming, I take the same approach. But this time I'm indulging the fantasy because it's just plausible enough.
