I feel much better about the next few seasons than I did before the season started.

Message to Rick.....keep playing these young guys.
It was one game let's not get carried away. I still think Jackson is back when he gets healthy.

I was mostly referring to end game situations that happened during the last 2 minutes of the game. I do not see how Mavs D was able to make it so that Spurs' players were not able to foul quickly or how Mills had no idea that he had to shoot the last shot because there was only so little time left.

Mavs did great. But I have trouble understanding how Mills was not aware that they had to shoot a good shot as soon as possible... and he was quite open for the shot. The time it took for Spurs players to chase down and foul reminded me Kobe situation ( https://youtu.be/dsCK6m1uhqE?t=55s ). It was not that awful but I just do not understand how it happens constantly, when everyone should know they have to foul but hesitate to foul.

Yogi Ferrel had 0 turnovers.

Oh and Aldridge is still garbage. Said it at the beginning of the season and nothing has changed.

That was Byron Scott doing a Byron Scott, meaning being an idiot. Lin said after it he was looking at the coach and Scott didnt signal anything...

FWIW Kidd and Chris Paul have said similar things about Scott during crucial late-game sequences. He's a control freak until you're in a close game with three minutes left, then his sphincter shrivels up and he literally avoids eye contact with his point guards when they look to him for the play call.

Loved Yogi's energy and aggressiveness. I agree that Pierre should and likely will come back when he's fully healthy.

I totally agree with this post - especially the last sentence.
Loving Dirk having the 10 rebound and 4 block game.

Before we start including Yogi with HB, we should probably see him play more than 2 games in 2 months. But yes, it's fun to see young guys get minutes and play well.

See Dak and Romo. It all depends on how Yogi does during the absence

Yogi was able to break down SA's defense which is something the Mavs need. And he found open guys like he was a 10 year vet.

But yeah, one game. Spurs looked old and slow.

That is what I noticed about Yogi. Jackson is a good shooter but Yogi looked like a quick pure playmaking PG who can break down a defense that we haven't had here in a while.
Yes small sample size but his natural skills were pretty evident. It wasn't like there was a lot of luck going on out there for him to be successful.

Maybe it was a good matchup for him and when defenses focus on him it might be a different story but Yogi looked pretty solid running the team and seemed to have gained Rick's confidence pretty quickly. Played really smart which will be something to watch going forward.

Think you completely missed the point of the post...this wasn't about Yogi.

Spurs were terribly coached and their energy was low. Despite not being efficient offensively, I was impressed with Yogi's energy and playmaking out there. We'll have to see in future games. So far so good, but the sample size is minimal.
