Jackson looks good so far. We'd win if Porzingis was out there. Maybe with just J.J.

I honestly don’t want us to tank this year like last so I hope RC can figure out his rotations pretty fast and I am sure these guys can play some competitive games even if they end up being Ls

Overall, I saw some good stuff. Obviously lack of rebounding and defense in the paint is the major concern moving forward. Let's see if Rick can work some magic with team defense now that we have some more athletic people available.

7/14 shooting is still nice. He just didn't fill the stat sheet. 14 rebounds from the starters... that's bad.

We won't tank, but our schedule gets harder and we only only added 1 functional stater (THJ) after trading away 4/5 of our starting lineup... This team shouldn't win many more games this season.

The entire SL got out-rebounded by Giannis (17).

Kind of what I expected against a really, really good Bucks team. Luka was a little less aggressive but still should have had around 8-10 AST. So many missed looks. Also tired of the space that Brunson, Maxi, and DFS get sometimes off of those passes and the silly head fakes into the paint where nothign comes of it. Take the shot/spacing when you get it. Especially maddening when the shot clock in winding down.

Powell caught a little heater after I was dogging him for that awful stretch. Probably the worst thing that could have happened for this team (in the long run) is him hitting those threes. Sure, they brought us back within single digits, but damn it.

Please stop mentioning Mejri. He would have gotten cooked tonight and he's done. There's a reason you haven't heard anything about him since the release.

I honestly think it was a little lame of Rick to throw Justin Jackson into garbage time for his first minutes as a Mav. I hope he has more in plan for Jackson going forward. He can be a solid 3/D guy with his length and can definitely shoot it. He'll likely seep minutes away from Broekhoff and the wing rotation.

I really liked Burke's game tonight. If he can find any sort of consistency, he should be considered for a longer contract here, pending price of course.

This team will have a rebounding issue with or without Porzingis. Multitude of ways to address it, but as others have pointed out, some of it can be solved with a more disciplined approach to boxing out and smarter team rebounding, with an obvious nod to the need of an additional rebounding big. *cough* Vucevic *cough*

Looks like Luka had to get his left hand X-rayed, but it came back negative.

Team has serious issues that need to be addressed this off-season. All the people calling for Jordan's head look pretty stupid right now. Lots of the same ones that praised plan powder, brought up Philadelphia as a reason not to tank, and wanting to sign Parsons to a max. I guess they have extremely short memories. This is last year's mavs all over again. I don't care how great you are on offense if the other team can just manhandle you and keep getting rebounds/shots off until they finally score. You can't win like that. This team needs athletes with size.

This is truth. Gotta be able to stop someone, and only one person can put the ball in the basket at a time, so we need to load up on 3'D type players. Not necessarily more offensive players.

And If I'm Luka, I know what I need to work on this summer. 3-point shooting, floater, post up moves, etc. He's got all the tools, he just needs to start refining them a lot more, including his handles which are his strong points. We're looking at a future Super Star here.

Not many people called for Jordan's head at all, with respect to what I'm assuming you're referencing the rebounding. He was lazy on help defense and it was maddening at times, but I think the majority appreciated Jordan for his rebounding. That said, he was necessary as salary matching and apparently the Knicks wanted him. He was able to facilitate a trade to bring back Porzingis, so I'll forever see Jordan and Mavs fans as even, given his 2015 debacle.

This is far and away NOT last year's Mavs. We have the most exciting and promising teenager in the world on the team. You're going to have those issues when you completely turn the roster at the deadline. Again, any moves we made were for the future. This team will feature Luka, KP, and the FO will supplement with FA signings that fit both personality and needs.

Take it easy, breathe. It ain't about this season anymore. My full belief is they'll play with a bunch of teams and fade. Luka inevitably will win some games that we shouldn't. But you can guarantee we will have better lottery odds at the end of the season than we do now.

Weíre almost exactly back to where we were last seasons. Doesnít matter how hard everyone pulls together to get rebounds and play offensively, itís all for naught if you donít have a guy like DJ.
