If we get to watch Luka do cool things and ass backwards fall into somehow keeping our pick (unlikely), what a season by our front office.

One thing Luka needs to learn is pacing. He came out way too strong.

Why do you want this year's pick as opposed to a future one? Regardless, we're losing picks.

I feel like his shot has been off ever since we went to this quick sub for him. Subs out after 4-6mins then subs back in for a couple then he goes back out and on we go.

Luka starting to feel that 82 game season. Can’t get to the all star break soon enough.

Not concerned about this team.
This lineup is Luka and a bunch of role caliber players playing much bigger roles than they will be next season.

This is most of the roster minus KP and hopefully a rebounder in the offseason.

Hard to believe Porzingas can help enough to fix this mess of a roster. This team needs 2 good players in the off-season and one of them better be 7 foot tall and play center.

That is what is killing us the most....lack of size.
KP and a guy like Vuc, or someone similar, would make a huge difference.
Maxi and Brunson will most likely be bench players next season and will not be relied on as much as they are today.

No worries....

36 of 57 points for Blazers were in the paint. After we gave up over 80 to the Bucks. Definitely lacking size.

Or foul out because the perimeter guys aren't stopping the ball. This Porzingas trade is really not about next year. We took back some bad players to make it work. We have a lot of holes.

I do like THJ's speed and willingness to drive to the basket. He's a big upgrade over Wes imo.

Yeah, you're right now that I think about it. If he can get his efficiency up a bit more, I'm preferring him to Barnes, especially considering his court vision and passing. He seems miles better than Barnes in that respect.

It was the right thing to do once they acquired Jr. Him and Barnes basically playing the same role. I'm liking what I'm seeing today.

Barnes was never and will never be a power forward/center in any dimension and or universe.

The point is their ROLE. Barnes was a guy who took 15+ shots. In what dimension or universe is KP not that role over THJ? With Barnes we still need a rebounder and with KP we still need a rebounder. Today's game isn't about x player is x position. It's positionless.

That was my thinking on it. With the various lineup changes in today's NBA, things are not always so cut and dry with positions. THJ will most certainly be taking over the "Wes" role while KP takes over the Barnes role.

Luka reminds me so much of Kidd the way he uses his body in the paint and his strong hands.
