Mavs can be terrible at times. It’s baffling how a good team can occasionally be so bad

Got it. It was a bad joke about how it took 15 minutes to play the last .5 seconds of the quarter.

Dear lord. Refs miss call. Mavs player complains. Refs give opposing team points in the form of tech FTs

Mavs are just too predicatable and frustrating to watch right now, especially after Cuban's officiating outburst. If the games are close, the zebras will screw the Mavs. :-( Buckle up. It'll go on for YEARS.

Edit: Spoelstra is outcoaching RC this game.

Mavs closed last game with a zone, and they looked good doing it. WTH not do the same this game? Quit the matchup BS and dictate for a change RC. Should've played a damn zone.

Miami is shooting just under 50% from 3 this game. I donít think thatís a good strategy. I really donít think the refs have screwed the Mavs this game, so Iím not sure why that was brought up.

Mavs have no chance when DFS has a bad game because he is basically our only reliable perimeter defense.

Layup drills are demoralizing, even moreso in a loss. NBA teams don't shoot 50% from 3's on a regular basis, so I'd play the law of averages. If they continue shooting 50%, then you lose and chalk it up to hot shooting. That won't happen regularly; however, NBA players typically make layups all day, every day, so I would prefer betting on missing 3's than missing layups myself.

Also, I didn't bring up the refs because of this game. I still suffer PTSD from 2006, so Cuban's tirade just reopened that old, festering wound, and the zebras have way too much of an impact in a game for me not to be more than a little depressed over the situation moving forward.

Well, you think only one stat is impressive I guess, but I looked at a group of stats. I think it's both impressive that he was 5/6 from 2-point range and 8/9 from 3-point range. Sure, getting 2 assists, 2 rebounds, and shooting 3/4 from the charity stripe isn't as impressive.

Sure teams wonít regularly shoot 50% from 3, but Miami was so the strategy of letting them shoot from 3 was not a good idea this game. When a team is killing you from 3 why would you play a defense that lets them keep shooting them?

And because you brought up the refs in a game day thread itís easy to see why it seemed like you were blaming the refs when overall I think they called a pretty fair game. Iím not sure what point you were trying to make there.

Yeah, Barea knocked down a couple threes, but he gave up a ton on defense... And for some reason, Wright hasn't been any better. This team sorely lacks a second ball handler right now.

Wright is the season's big disappointment. He plays really well then just disappears in a big way.

Seth was killer... Offensively. Defensively he is bad, tonight be was real real bad.

Maxi blew some coverages although he had a nice recovery block once.

Doncic doesn't look right. Lacking acceleration. He's pretty banged up. Not what anyone was hoping for on his bday with a lot of fans that came to see him and celebrate.

Miami looked really tied together defensively. If Seth didn't catch fire we get our asses blown apart.

They killed us in bench scoring 42-16. Also shot almost double our free throws.
I'd trade some of our #1 ranked offense for some of that defense.

KP is still rolling.

For one thing, I look at the Mavs' results this season when they close the way they did. They LOSE. The have lost too may winnable games this year playing like this and have given away 8 or 9 winnable games doing so. Call me crazy, but if I want a different result, I don't think it's unreasonable to do something different. Did you not watch the last game? Did you not notice how RC played a zone down the stretch to close the game and how it impacted the game? The Mavs won a game that pretty much every other time this season they have choked away, so, yeah, I kind of expected it to be tried again. What was there to lose? They LOST closing the same way they typically do defensively. Very little downside in trying something different imo.

You're right. It was basically just something that I threw out there that has been on my mind, so I understand why you didn't get it. Not a big deal. My bad.

Wright is gone at draft night or in the summer.

Heat shot almost 50% from downtown, hard to beat a team shooting like that combined). Also almost double the amount of FT (fuck the refs)

Also Luka banged up like crazy, no way he plays if it wasnt the sloveniamania
