Man, I'm glad to eat crow with Seth Curry.

It's nice to see a healthy KP rounding into basketball shape. He has looked so good recently. He's a franchise player imo. The mavs have 2 and some solid pieces. I don't want to hear anything about "ahead of schedule." Kp and Luka are way too talented and playing like it for us to settle with anything other than the best effort from both players and coaches to win every game.

Yeah, ignore these results and go back to playing smaller against legit bigs. lol

Boban instantly makes a bucket and grabs a rebound. He needs some minutes.

Not gonna happen. I'm a realist. At this point, I'll be ecstatic just seeing KP and Maxi on the court together playing a zone to close out games and stop runs.

Not sure why we signed MKG, honestly don't see him fitting at all.
I thought Broek was a better all around fit as insurance if either Curry or THJ goes down.

I guess MKG is insurance if anything happens to DFS but that is about it.

Come playoff team having MKG will be more useful for his defensive ability than Broek IMO.

Man I really wanted KP to get 40. Second time this season he’s come 2 points shy. 1st player in NBA history with multiple games of 35+pts, 5+ made 3’s, and 5+ blocks.

Good to see we're evolving into a team with 4 solid scoring threats.
This team might be a lot better than we think...especially if KP keeps this up.

I'm sure that was the thinking and DFS has become so important to this team that we'd really be hurting without him.
MKG would make up for that to some degree if DFS goes down but I don't see MKG being in the rotation much as long as DFS is healthy.

Lol

But you were quick to praise the small ball lineup vs this same Minnesota team a week ago in the game thread that was the game right after atlanta killed our small ball lineup in the 4th qtr.

And personally I think KP, Kleber and WCS are good enough to all compete vs legit bigs not just against a depleted Minnesota team.

But we have seen small ball fail time and time again vs good quality playoff teams. What we haven't seen is a big lineup fail over and over again right?

I think you are selling them short because that is a talented trio despite the lack of playing time they get on the floor together

They can all rebound, defend, pass and move very well for their size.

KP and Curry won this game for us. That's for sure. It bugs me how inconsistent some of our other players are. I wanted to see Kleber shine today. Same with Jackson and Wright. None of those 3 did a whole lot offensively. Jackson was really just godawful all around. At least the other two grabbed 8 rebounds apiece as well as combined 8 assists, 3 steals, and a block.

I bet they just lacked interest today, and it's hard to blame them. The game was never competitive, and the Mavs ran away with it in the 2nd quarter.

Did we win? I missed the game, but there's a lot of bitching in this thread, so I assume we didn't.

A couple games ago he moved into 2nd-most accurate all-time from beyond the arc behind Steve Kerr... Dude is an assassin.

Curry has been ballin' since Brunson went down. One player's misfortune is another player's opportunity.

Luka may be staggered with Porzingis, I wouldn't be shocked on the second end of the b to b if he played and KP sits. After the Hawks game, I doubt they both miss games short of serious injury.

I am rewatching this game in appreciation of what Curry did, even though it's not as good as the last game. I'm just in awe of his shooting right now. Reminds me of my younger self!

My favorite game that I ever played was when I had a pickup game at UT (at Austin). Some guys who played for Texas (basketball) team were in Gregory Gymnasium. They played against my team. We had one girl who was on the girl's basketball team. I knew her from high school. And then I even had guys who played football for them. Anyway, I was on fire. I didn't miss a shot during the 2 games we played against each other, hitting 10 straight 3-point shots. I was calling them off the glass or as swishes too successfully. That's about as much fun as I remember having on the basketball court.

@sefant77 I know. At least this was after high school! I had good moments after that such as when I won a 3-point shootaround for L.A. Fitness. Just never pro level stuff. Happy with my 70% shooting though, including 50% from half court during that competition. No one else was even close. Really wish I knew how I'd play against the best though. I've had 6'9" guys guard me who couldn't stop my shot. I really wish I tried harder since I do love the game.

I also feel bad for my friends, who honestly sucked. I remember playing 1-on-1 to 50 points against a friend of mine who I had like a 3 inch height advantage. Nothing too crazy. Anyway, I beat him 50-0. He practiced so much after that loss just so that he could compete with me. He was so embarrassed. Honestly, he got pretty good after that. He learned a nice fadeaway jumper that I struggled to defend.

I miss watching that show. Also the one with the hot red head that felt similar to it... uhhh... Nikki Cox was her name. Show? Unhappily Ever After.

KP is rounding into shape a lot earlier than I expected. I thought he was going to fully recover only next season.

Boy does he look good right now!
