Default Practice is opening around the league today

Where are the Mavs in post#2 ??? why aren't we practicing?
All NBA teams are allowed to start practicing today - while some states are still restricting that.
With restrictions - no more than 4 players and 1 assistant each allowed at one time.
When will we see some practice video snippets - such as mavs twitter etc.?
I sure hope all of our guys stayed in shape. We were hitting a certain stride right
before the shutdown and a real cool vibe. Luka and Prozingas were really connecting
and Curry and THJ were knocking down shots all over the place. Maxi was really finding
his rhythm on the court.

from today - 5-19-2020
Marc Stein@TheSteinLine
Among NBA return-to-play scenarios being discussed, league sources say, is a template calling for teams to conduct Training Camp 2.0 in their own practice facilities before heading to one or two centralized sites to resume play, with Orlando and Las Vegas still vying for games

This was a few days ago:

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been a polarizing figure during the coronavirus pandemic; not just in the NBA but on a nationwide scale. In an interview with The Athletic, the Mavericks owner stated that he isn’t allowing the re-opening of the Mavs practice facilities just yet. He wants coronavirus testing to be widely available to everyone before his team will get back to practice.
Cuban has been pretty harsh on COVID-19 guidelines throughout the country. While some states are re-opening businesses and trying to get things back to normal, other states are keeping stay-at-home restrictions in place. Texas is one of the many states allowing businesses to open and lifting quarantine restrictions. Cuban himself, per the report, is sending people to different businesses to see which are opening up and complying with state guidelines. In other words, Cuban has been Gung-Ho about making sure everyone is safe before we get back to basketball and living.

So Cuban won’t let the Mavericks back to practice in an effort to follow “White House protocol” — basically Cuban is acting as if his franchise is the White House. He did mention being optimistic about basketball returning in the next two months. We already got reports from Shams Charania of The Athletic that the NBA is looking at a 2-4 week timeline on a decision for a return. So after a month or so we’ll either be preparing for basketball or saying goodbye to it for the season.

Doesn’t seem like a lot of time for players to get re-accumulated, but whatever. Strange times indeed!

I hope Luka has been doing more than just watching Friends and playing Fortnite.

Watched an interview with Delon Wright on Facebook today. He said yesterday was the first time he had shot a ball since the shutdown. I think he said the Mavs sent him (and all players) an exercise bike, dumbbells, and some resistance bands to work with. He didn’t sound like he had been doing much though.

Chuck Cooperstein@coopmavs
Lots to digest here. For me I want to see 1-16 playoff format with a reseeding after every round. And not just for this year. It's the best way to ensure the importance of the regular season

Shams Charania@ShamsCharania
NBA surveyed GMs on several formats to restart the season:
- 16 teams directly to playoffs
- “Playoffs Plus” (play-in or group stage)
- All 30 teams — or all 30 teams with play-in tournament

The NBA has entered into exploratory conversations with the Walt Disney Corporation about restarting the remainder of its season at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida in late July, NBA spokesperson Mike Bass said Saturday.

NBA in the dullest part of the NBA calendar is quite the treat if this actually happens. Still not really understanding it, but basketball is basketball.

If this is the facility I've visited, it's pretty cool. Four courts/arenas connected into one building, each sharing a common concession/restroom area.
