Luka seemed a little timid to start the game - like he didn't want to step on anyone's toes. He certainly got a little more frisky later in the game

While I loved the intensity of the 4th quarter, I would have liked to see a few different players out there too

Or have the players who are going to close out the game not play in the 2nd and 3rd to give some of the other players some burn

Feel sorry for any ďfansĒ that didnít enjoy the weekend. That was a hell of a lot of fun. Never seen an all star game so intense.

You mean like the second leading vote getter playing the third fewest minutes in the team? I would have liked to have seen Luka play in the 4th quarter. Feel bad for Ingram. He only played 8 minutes.

Young didn't play in the 4th either so I guess the fans who voted don't matter in crunchtime

Maybe this will be a spur that gets Luka to take defense a little more seriously

That was my only gripe for the ASG. It shouldn't be buddy-buddy out there and starters are named that for a reason. Plus they were picked on a live TV ceremoniously. I mean, who doesn't want to see Harden out there tossing bricks and committing charges? LOL

That and the banana boat buddy Chris Paul, then Westbrick getting so many minutes...Though Paul actually played well.

Paul was the reason Luka didnt come back in. Paul was the reason they came back and won. Luka has many all star years left. Im fine with him sitting for one quarter.

This is 100% accurate... But also, Chris Paul can suck it.

Paul was there because he was Lebron's banana boat buddy

And Luka should have played some of Harden's minutes - Giannis basically said their team's plan was to attack with whoever Harden was guarding

They would have just attacked Luka instead. Letís not pretend like heís an all world defender. I thought I had read somewhere that Luka basically said thereís something wrong with his ankle, but he will worry about it in the offseason. As much as I wanted to see him out there in the 4th Iím not too worried about it. His body needed the rest.

He's not a great defender but he's on Harden's level

I just would have liked to see some other players (esp Luka) in the 4th for a few minutes

Sorry for being a "fan". All star weekend just means there are no Mavs games for a week, and usually this means no NBA basketball for a week. This is the first season since around 2002 that I don't have the full league pass. I went for the team only option this season, and it has been more painful than anticipated.

I watched very little of that game tbh

But I've seen much better ASG from start to finish back in the 90's when both sides actually cared to play both ends of the floor....

I really haven't been a fan of all star weekend for quite sometime because the games themselves have been a joke.

If they are only going to be intense for one small portion of gameplay and spend the majority of the game playing Harlem globetrotter basketbal I will continue to not care.

*Watches very little of game*

knows the 90s was better

There is nothing in all star history close to the 4th quarter of this years game. The first 3 quarters were entertaining but thats what I expect from an all star game. Romanticizing the 90s as some beacon for hard play is ridiculous.

The 90s were the last time Everything didn’t suck, so shove some more avocado toast in your ruined-Everything-hole, kid, the adults are talking...
